My comment was actually a figure of speech. Meaning, I played it often. I've personally never worn out a record either as I have always taken great care of my vinyl.

Didn't know where else to post this but just received the 2 LP, 3 RBCD and 1 DVD box set of Rhino's newly remastered/remixed LOU REED's NEW YORK ALBUM and the DVD also contains the full New York album in STEREO in astonishing 96/24 LPCM resolution and it really sounds EXQUISITE. The DVD also contains a LIVE Lou Reed Performance captured at the Theatre St~Denis, Montreal on August 13, 1989.

Thankfully, because of a recent post [by Marplot] in the sales/discount thread I was able to obtain the full set, brand new for $38 from AmazonUS [retail price is $90] but that flash sale has now expired!
And I am playing it as we speak! WOW!

Old recording mostly 1938 and some 1946 by the guitar great. I guess it is what you call a needle drop recording? There are little pops and clicks within the recording.
Some of my favorite music Mark, for the wonderful verve of that band. Django’s younger brother (Joseph, also in the Hot Club of France) was a very accomplished player as well.
Didn’t know about the tube USB; you should try it, that sucker may light up when plugged in!
Speaking of USB releases, I keep missing them as they sell out immediately, both by Joe Satriani, his first was the chrome dome that had I forget about 9 or 10 albums all 24bit, the second just a month ago or so was the chrome guitar that I think had Crystal Planet on it, got to be fast in the Audiophile world, blink and these releases in Hi Res, surround/stereo are gone.
Coincidentally, I am listening to US 2ch CD of Help. I listened to the mono US CD a couple weeks back.

Have been dipping my toes into MQA~CDs lately and just received this one from AmazonUS ~ A Universal Records Sampler consisting of 2 CDs ....1 HQ MQA~CD [with the green overlay ink] and a regular Japanese pressed CD [for comparison]. Those with OPPO 205s which incorporate MQA decoders might want to check it out. IMO, the MQA~CDs DO SOUND BETTER! BTW, I just ordered their JAZZ sampler, as well!
