The Band - Moondog Matinee

Bit of an oddball in The Band’s catalog.
Some of the covers work better than others but overall a decent album.
MoFi neglected to release this one on SACD so resorted to the 2001 redbook remaster. Sound is OK if a bit sharp in places.

The Band - Islands

Their last “album” though really just a collection of odds and ends.
Doesn’t hold together as a whole but about half the tracks are quite good.

Ian Hunter - Your Never Alone With A Schizophrenic

I can't remember the last time I listened to this butt kicking album.
I bought the LP back in the day and then later the CD. I have both the LP needle drop
and the CD rip on my HD now. I forgot how much I always loved this one, the hell of gettin old.
But listening now it's like a whole new experience. LOL

When I saw Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets last week he did a quip, saying that "the great thing about getting old is that you can hide your own Easter eggs!"
