It's amazing that with all the newly remastered box sets being released, some of us NEVER take the opportunity to listen intently to the enclosed BONUS DISCS. I just revisited this box set with the BD~A 5.1 remix and discovered DISC 2 which contains "Alternate Album~expanded edition" or the genesis of the completed album in stunning sonics. A very laid back acoustic version well worth seeking out!

Tangerine Dream - Oedipus Tyrannus

Recorded in 1974 and, other than a few segments, unreleased until its inclusion in the In Search of Hades box set.
CD #6 in the set, though I listened to it on Blu-Ray (Disc17) in 24/96 LPCM stereo.

Rick Wakeman's Piano Portraits.

This is one of the most amazing solo piano albums I have ever heard. We all know Rick is a gifted rocker, but this shows he's also incredibly nuanced. I hated for it to end.

These old concert recordings sound as good as the studio albums of that era.

Monty Alexander THE MONTREUX YEARS [BMG Management/MQA encoded CD] Another outstanding disc from BMG's brilliant MONTREUX YEARS series in stellar sonics. Very high recommendation!

Leans more to the electronic side including “conventional” instruments and away from the ambient. Certainly more interesting to my ears.
The CD is disc 12 but I listened in 24/96 LPCM on Blu-ray, disc 18.

Found this AMAZING unopened box set (6 LPs replicated on 4 CDs) at my local record/CD store, Squeezebox. I'm making my way through the CDs and the 48 pp book. Such a deal!

More active than the earlier stuff in the box set, but despite that it’s the first album so far that didn’t quite click with me.
The Coventry Cathedral soundtrack (bonus track) is pretty good.
