J.Geils Band - Nightmares…and Other Tales From the Vinyl Jungle

Posting this here because though Quad, I played it in stereo. And not many follow the Bluray audio thread.
Decent album, sound isn’t great but passable in 24/192 dts-HD MA …definitely a mid 70’s recording.

Golden Earring - Live

This set remastered by Red Bullett from the original tapes is undoubtedly the best version out there but it’s still a mid 70’s live recording.
The two tracks recorded in Winterswijk sound better than the rest which were recorded in London.
The music is great they really stretched out on most of the tracks,

Tears For Fears - the hurting

Probably the first time I’ve played this album in 30 years but it felt like yesterday, it was so familiar.
Watch Me Bleed is my favourite track.
Sound on the Steven Wilson remix in 24/96 LPCM stereo is spacious and open if a teensy bit bright in spots. Overall excellent.
Instrumental versions great too.
I’ll get around to the surround one of these days.

Woo, just finished the new MOFI SACD of Whitney Houston, hated the music, can't win them all.
There was a list on QQ, I forget what thread that had Billboards top 20 albums and I had 19 of the 20, so over course I had to purchase this.
The Clash-Sandinista!-Stereo CD, 2 disc set. 1980 E2K 37037 release.
DR's are 11's, 12's, 13's, 14's, 15's.
Not what I expected from The Clash, very good.
