Taj Mahal - Music Keeps Me Together

A combination of reggae, soul and on the excellent percolating closing track, Why?…And We Repeat Why?… And We Repeat!, what I’d call disco.
The best of his later Columbia albums IMO.

Taj Mahal - Satisfied ‘N Tickled Too

This one leaves me scratching my head. It’s all over the place. The over produced Baby Love (not the Supremes song) doesn’t fit.
About half of it’s good.
The worst sounding disc of the set too

I remember when this CD came out and had such a good sound to it, like Brothers In Arms.
I saw Robert at Shoreline when this album came out, for some reason I remember the guitarist, young man, in twenty's looking, white guitar that said Squid on it, funny the things we remember.
Robert Plant-Now And Zen released 1988.
FLAC File-16bit/44.1Khz. DR's are 10's, 11's, 12's.

Typed in search Native American, I'm kind of into that Genre and this band popped up.
Winterhawk.
Good music and lyrics, Discogs calls them Heavy Metal, I would just call them Rock.
Anyone ever heard of them? @Quad Linda

This ends my 10 day journey through his Columbia Albums box set.
Turns out the 3 albums I already had (Taj Mahal, Natch’l Blues & The Real Thing) are the best but happy to have the other 10 albums, there’s lot of great stuff sprinkled through them.

This is the Doug Sax mastering, apparently AP released a Bernie Grundman version too.
Had not played this in at least 15 years.
It’s awesome.

Visage - Beat Boy

The cassette remix version, on Rubellan.
It’s OK, typical 80’s synth pop though some tracks have some decent guitar work to give it some edge.
Something about that cover creeps me out though.
