First time for me. I liked all the different styles.
Thats why I liked it as well. Have you come across the band (and album) White, with Alan White on Drums & Percussion Geoff Downes on keyboards - I have the CD but can't find it on Discogs!

Thelonious Monk - Genius of Modern Music Vol.1

This disc is part of the Japanese BN85 series mastered by Kevin Gray.
Recorded in ‘47/48, originally released on 10” in ‘51, then in this LP form in ‘56.
The age of the recordings definitely show (kinda rough) but still listenable.
Can’t argue with the music though.

Lee Morgan - Infinity

Recorded in ‘65 but not released until ‘81.
Music is fine but the sound is kinda thin and anemic, cymbals are particularly weak on the title track.
I need to be more careful with these BN85’s, of the four I’ve played so far the sonics aren’t great on three of them (no doubt limited by the source material).
