Really nice mix on this! Nice and discreet. Who was the engineer?

BTW. Thanks to you and LennonCobain and the others for posting all these releases. Like most here, I don’t have the time to listen to even a fraction of what gets released and I’m not interested in most of the releases and often the ones I would be get lost in the shuffle and don’t show up on my Tidal app list of “new releases”.

Much appreciated!

The INXS mix is not great. Not much apart from fronts here
Interesting, the one track currently available on Apple Music ("Need You Tonight") sounds pretty good to my ears. There's percussion spread all throughout the room, the main rhythm guitar part is only in the height speakers, some backing vocals in the sides and rears, etc. Best of all, the awful harsh sound of the 2017 Kick Atmos release is gone.

Californian Dreaming would have to be the strangest Atmos mix of all time, 90% of the song is from the rears, only 1 male voice is from the right front. Put your ear to the speaker and the voice is all you hear.
Yeah...I finally got around to constructing a playlist of some of my favorite WEA singles that have appeared over the past few months. This one is weird and startling, all right. More evidence of the absence of quality control. . . .

Fantastic mix of a beautiful album. It usually seems like an act of desperation when an established artist does an orchestral album or a covers album. This is both. But George really pulls it off. If there was a poll I would not hesitate to give this a 10.

Speaking of which, will we ever start a section of the polls for streaming-only releases?
Is this on Apple, anyone got a link?

I just listened to the re-recorded version of Ventura Highway on the Hits 50th anniversary edition (stereo version). To me the Atmos mix sounds like somebody tried to remix the original into something closer to the re-recorded version.
oh yeah! this one! 😱

good grief, why would they try and match the Atmos of the 1972 original to the new re-recording!? 🤦‍♀️

Released on the Motown label a modern gospel gem that not only praises God but your Atmos system in tandem.

Hoping my more adept than I am Tidal friends can tell me whom mixed this as most if not all tracks system demo worthy:

.

Reminds me a bit of the Jon Batiste grammy 2021 Grammy winning gem: WE ARE.

looks like a tie-up with Capitol, maybe Steve Genewick?

Moonchild Mixes- Selena

Nice for her fans this is in Atmos.
Controversially, they also digitally processed her voice to make her sound as old as she'd be now?

...on a new album, Moonchild Mixes, out Friday, she no longer sounds like her early-20s self.
Instead, these remixes employ digital technology to age her voice.
Take her 1986 song "Dame tu amor," which was recorded when she was a teenager; in the remixed version, her voice has been pitched down a semitone. It's also fuller, especially at the low end.

"We worked on her vocal track to make her sound more mature," said Selena's father, Abraham Quintanilla, who, along with other members of Selena's family, collaborated with Warner Music Latina on the new release. "It'll make you think that she recorded the songs this morning."
