Heyo, a good punk album in atmos. A real mix, too. Bad Religion is known for their vocal harmonies and they are in back and top as you'd expect, as are guitar overdubs. Infected is a good one to sample for atmos activity.

Can someone on Tidal reveal the mixer?

Andy Wallace mixed the stereo version in 1994, a big deal at the time. This album was the first new release on a major label for BR, also a big deal at the time. Now Atlantic is part of Warner, so this marks another real mix for WEA. Good job, someone, haha!
I couldn’t find this album on Tidal. Maybe someone else can confirm if it’s actually available.

Aretha Franklin
30 Greatest Hits
Now has 26 Tracks in Atmos!
Unfortunately, only 9 of those tracks (“Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “I Never Loved a Man (The Way That I Love You),” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “Chain of Fools,” “Sweet Sweet Baby,” “Think,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” “Spanish Harlem,” and “Rock Steady") are genuine multi-channel mixes. The rest of them--like so much else we've gotten from Warner Music Group over the past half-year--paste the stereo image from the fronts into the other pairs of speakers, sometimes with slight adjustments in EQ or reverb.

I finally was able to find the Tom Petty's Greatest Hits Atmos on Tidal. What a freaking joke Tidal is in terms of actually being able to find this stuff (at least via the Fire TV app). Solid work on this mix.
I usually look them up on my phone, stick them in my favourites and retrieve them from there on other devices.

My phone ignores Atmos so that trick doesn't work for everyone.
My Tidal App in my Phone (android) is not Atmos, because when I play an Atmos track it says "Not Atmos device...Playing in Stereo..."

But it shows all labels at tracks/albums when it apply: ATMOS / MASTER / 360

Phone is also my way of looking for Atmos Tidal Albums. Wish the Fire TV App would do the same.

Definitely better sonics in many cases. If you want great sonics a Penteo upmix from SACD or decent LP rip is the way to go.
Agreed here. There are some awesome upmixes to be had.

The idea that crappy Atmos processing and the loss of fidelity that seems to come with it somehow improves the overall listening experience beyond true high fidelity playback of quality material , even well done stereo material, just because there are more speakers involved. is so wrong IMO. The fidelity is Job #1 in my world.

Hopefully we’ll see higher bitrate Atmos streaming one day. Dolby Digital Plus Atmos can be encoded up to 1024kbps but currently we’re getting only 768kbps encodes via streaming services.

Edit: Corrected max to 1024kbps

Rod Stewart's latest, "The Tears of Hercules". Probably already discussed somewhere in this thread, but I just discovered it and am listening in 5.1 Wow, they went apeshit with that album! This mix is completely out there. Serious surround workout. Love it.

Thanks for the tip on this one. Just listened to bits and pieces and bookmarked it to listen in full later. It does pop in surround.
