Always liked this song... :)

Tidal - Try the TIDAL Web Player
Not sure if this is in Atmos on Apple, think I bought it in stereo back in the day?
Here’s an Apple link.

Fun fact, the main dude behind Owl Cities was contracted by Apple to make stock ringtones and sounds for iOS 7:

Wow, what a pleasant surprise. Had not heard of them before but this album is great! Sort of homage to 70s rock - reminds me a bit of The Guess Who/Doobies/Eagles plus a few others?

Actually, at first I've thought they're a generation or two older :)

Plan to put this on tonight at bedtime, impressed with a few tracks I sampled.
The Apple Music blurb:

Made using the AI behind the app Endel, Wind Down doesn’t just sound like a sleep aid—it’s designed specifically with sleep in mind: 15 tracks forming a smooth, atmospheric ribbon of sound. In some ways, it’s a one-off—Blake’s channeling of Brian Eno circa Thursday Afternoon or the synthesizer explorer Steve Roach. But in another way, you can hear it as an extension of what the British singer, songwriter, and producer has been making since 2011’s James Blake: gentle, soulful music that taps into states inaccessible to the rational mind.

James Blake album from last year also in Atmos:

Wind Down got a mention in the current New Yorker, a more detailed "Listening Booth" review is online here:

If you're interested in a really fun atmos mix, I suggest "Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice. This was on Tidal but I plan to switch over to Apple Music next month.

No way!
On Tidal, there's both 360 and now Atmos mix too: https://tidal.com/album/233043703

Would be interested to find out if Visconti has worked on this. Or if it's some sort of transposition of his 360 mix.

A few months ago it did cross my mind that the reason that no Hunky Dory/Ziggy anniversary releases have been announced was that they might have been working on atmos mixes after the sale to Warner in January. Get the rights, work on new mixes, announce them as part of a 50th package once they're prepared...sort of thing.

I hope this is the start of more Bowie in Atmos

In the description in Apple Music, there is a track by track detail attributed to Visconti, describing how he approached the remix for each song and its background.

Is that not for the 360 mix though? He did lots of press for the Immersive mixes - even the most recent batches of 360s in January had a couple of photos and quotes from him. Or does it specifically mention Atmos? I imagine it's more or less the same idea...I'm just not sure Visconti has worked specifically with the Atmos format.

Don’t know? It appears to be the 2019 mix in general in all its versions, probably including stereo. It’s specific to Apple Music ie: ”Tony Visconti always listens to Space Oddity, the first album he produced for David Bowie, with trepidation. “I hear things,” he tells Apple Music. “Things that if I could’ve done them better, I would have done them better.”….” Regardless… It’s pretty impressive to my ears…and his comments are relevant when listening to the Atmos version.
