Originally this was one of my first LPs. Great to hear it again after so many years.

It's a download I found a while back. It's 96kHz 5.1. I'd assumed it was from an original quad release. It's not an up mix, too discrete.

Yes, the album is fairly amazing through just about any decoder, but there was no quadraphonic release or even subsequent claims of such a thing. Many out of phase tricks employed though to move sounds beyond the typical Left/Right. John

Thanks John. It sounds very impressive for an up mix or matrix decode. Maybe some one has also spent some time editing the tracks?

I made a 30 second 5.1 FLAC sample of beginning of Voodoo Child (slight return) down mixed from the MLP 96/24 to 48/24 but not sure if I can post that here?
