I just listened to the Anne Murray dualdisc I'll be Seeing You with a DVDA side. It is just wonderful and so well recorded. The price has dropped again to under $3 on Amazon and anyone still looking for a copy should grab one. It was up to $43 before.

I picked up a used copy on amazon for $6.55 DELIVERED and I actually got the right one the first time...I'm playing it now and the sound is excellent...only negative for me is I wish she would have included some of her songs on it...it is a Bob Ludwig mastering job and he did it right...the place I purchased it from on amazon has another on sale(round 3)HERE

That's probably because they didn't want to substitute a CD on an order from Clint Eastwood! :)

Breezin' - George Benson (SACD).

Well Audio Fidelity have definitely worked on the 5.1.. sounds miles better than the old DVD-A to me! (y)

Just a shame they didn't include the two bonus tracks.. but a real improvement on the old 5.1!

I'm listening to this as well. I had never owned the DVD-A but the 5.1 mix is better than I had anticipated based on its reviews.

Adam - why do you feel the SACD is an improvement?

I can't quite put my finger on it Eric, I always liked the DVDA anyway but there was a sort of echoey feel to everything in the 5.1 (steelydave identified it partly due to an out of whack centre channel) the SACD seems better balanced somehow and it seems there's more low end than the DVDA which helps it groove along better :p I need to A-B them to be sure though, I've been fooled before!

I've been sitting on the fence on this one, but I may well take the plunge and get it (I've the DVD-A as well). My Supersessions is on its way apparently, though no sign of it this morning when I left.

Interesting... I thought it was better too.

But after re-listening to the DVD-A - not as much as I thought initially...

I don't know if it has anything to do with hold up but if my Breezin' is anything to go by, these AF discs are seemingly coming from a 'fulfilment center' and not direct from Amazon.com (U.S.) which is unusual in my experience, whenever I order direct from Amazon.com stuffs sent in the flimsy card mailer, this came in a padded jiffy.. it took a bit longer but it was intact!

They seem to have started doing that - and yes - in my experience they seem to take longer... :-(

ahh.. I've probably got fooled again! :D

how about the bass, Mike? and did you detect any improvement in the centre to rear echo ratio type situ?

still a shame about it missing Down Here On The Ground.. love it on the DVDA, it should have been on the album all along.. but I guess it was too long for the LP!
