One of the best Quads, both musically and mix.
You NEED this!

I just listened to that the other week. It really is amazing! I agree, a must have. Do you have the other Nilsson quads?

Eric Clapton-461 Ocean Boulevard Elliot Scheiner 5.1 mix from the Give Me Strength box

Me too, the E.S. mix is worth the price of admission!

Partying w/Dr. Winston O'Boogie and May Pang

Yes, and I'm musically unimpressed (with Nilsson's albums after Nilsson Schmilsson). I'm a huge fan of Nilsson's earlier stuff, which isn't Quad.

Although Nilsson Schmilsson is spectacular, there is one of his albums which is better, IMHO. Sadly, there isn't a Quad, although there is a great DCC CD issue mastered by Steve Hoffman:

Black Sabbath-Gathered In Their Masses

I thought the music in only in 3.1 like 90% of Blu Rays?

I am sick of buying Blu Rays with crappy 5.1 mixes that sound the same as the 2.0 version.

It's music in the front and crowd in the back[as it really ought to be since that's how concerts are when you're there].

No no no...:howl have you heard any Steven Wilson live mix or Elliot Scheiner (e.g. Roy Orbison - Black & White Night) they know how to do it...

The O'Jays Live In London Quad has plenty of rear activity.. and I don't just mean the crowd..!! :p

"People all over the world, join hands.. start a love train, love train.."

Just put in Within Temptations Black Symphony Bluray and have the audio set to 5.1 PCM and so far pretty dang good. Really surprised by the video quality so far, top-notch for an indoor show. Just beginning to listen but initial impression is good sound with good MCH mix so far. I'll listen a few times before I critically rate it. I love this band and rate them better than Epica for this kind of music. I honestly believe that Simone from Epica is the better singer but the dude with the death growls all the time just ruins them for me. If he'd shut up and let her sing the band would be unbeatable for epic rock!

Steven Wilson - Drive Home - Blu-ray
Geoff Tate - DVD-A
Mike Keneally - Sluggo! - DVD-A
Enoch Light - Big Band Hits of the 30's & 40's - QS LP
Phoebe Snow - Second Childhood - SQ LP

What?

I don't listen to Live Blu rays to sounds like i am there. I am not there and i don't want to be. I want to hear the music in 5.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Otherwise it might as well just be stereo.

Have you heard Beyonce Live at Las Vegas? STUNNING 5.1 mix. Huge sounding drums; may i say even better than any SW mix(maybe).

Having the music in 3.1 is boring and a waste. I HATE concerts mixed like this. Meat Loaf 3 Bats is a great 5.1 mix as well. The background vocalists are put in rears creating a nice immersive sound.

I don't get this 'realistic' BS. If you are listening to a concert you are at home; period. I like 5.1 music over 3.1. Spread the god damn material over the 5 channels for heaven's sake. Those who do not like will choose 2.0!!!!!!!!!!!

Sluggo! - Mike Keneally (DVD-A).

Wow! Discrete! The mix is fantastic! I love the duelling guitar parts back and front which happens a lot! It's a weird mix of styles and stuff musically but Rockier in parts than I was expecting!

Shame about the typo in the booklet.. Neal Wilkes..@: still the disc itself is fab! Great job to all concerned! (y)
