Guns N' Roses Appetite For Destruction Blu-ray Disc DTS-HD MA 96k (from the Super Deluxe Edition): Not the most aggressive surround mix but the sound quality is good and I like the tunes enough. I don't own it in any other format and got it during the sale. Did I read that there was a technical problem with the Blu?

Dream Theater: Distance Over Time (Blu Ray 5.1)

I have the powered woofers in my Definitive Technology towers wired (via a splitter) and configured as one subwoofer. The second subwoofer is a SVS cylinder in back. Listening to this album, things just seemed a bit neutered. Upon investigation, one of the woofers up front was disconnected from the splitter and the SVS cylinder in back was unplugged.! It was almost like someone was sabotaging my system. Further inquiries of related family members will insue...🕵️‍♂️

Showtime [for those of you have have FIOS] is reprising Hitsville: The Making of Motown tonight at 10:30 PM. I'm DVRing it.

This two hour documentary comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by our very own J. PUPSTER 🐶

So, instead of hearing it through the Grapevine .... watch it tonight on SHOWTIME!

We just got back from the Netherlands, did some easy camping in Dwingeloo. No the tent isn't falling over, it's an optical illusion. https://share.icloud.com/photos/0fdrD_EwOl1c5vJvUuVWCx3Wg
How is the Dream Theater disc? I have the self titled DVD-A and it's a wall shaker.
If your a fan of the band I believe you will find the music most pleasing. Personally, I've found the album a nice 'return to form' after two sub-par releases. The surround mix is pretty good and at times very discrete with action swirling around the room. I do turn up the side surrounds +3db to balance things out a bit. The bottom end does the job and I can't imagine one being disappointed.

DT is releasing the the Blu Ray on a CD/Blu Ray package so you don't have to splurge on the Earbook edition now to get the surround album. At $16, it's a no-brainer.

Yes. Two songs missing the kick drum and 10db of bass guitar.
I examine that here (11:08):
