Took me a looooong time to get my grubby mits on this one too Clem....
It's a patient, pastime this hobby of ours

Now where's mine gone!!!

I feel ya, mate. 9 Lives DVD is the least immersive of the video sets I've been going through lately.
Fortunately, I have a kick-ass stereo in my car and I'm really looking forward to BLASTING these RP albums. I only know Fate of Nations, which I love.
Myself, I like those earlier LP's so much (especially Now and Zen) that I'll take it like it is. Of course, I upmixed Now and Zen a long time ago from my LP, and I was pleased with the results.
But it's always interesting to hear what everyone else thinks....never changes my mind, but interesting just the same.
My solution for upmixes sometimes is just freaking CRANKITUP! ...and of course, always, always, keep a fine beverage at hand.

Also, I've been listening to a lot of music/concert DVD's lately. I've learned to appreciate what is there, if not super discrete then enjoyable in other aspects.
Today, The Synchronicity Concert by The Police at the Omni in Atlanta. They (the producers) play too many video tricks, but overall enjoyable to see Copeland, Summers & Sting do their thing, and even the audience shots are entertaining at times.
No one would accuse it of being discrete, but live concerts vary a lot anyway. I used to pass on concert DVD's, or even concert BD's, but I've come to appreciate them thanks to Mr. Wilson.

Thanks for the inspiration!

this concert comes HIGHLY recommended on QQ, so . . . I bought it! (I think I have a serious problem--but it sounds so good!)

Listening now to Beck-Sea Change, 5.1 DVD-A.

Well, Mr. Powers ......'bout time you checked back into your very favorite website. You were missed......but I realize the nature of prioritizing one's life. We have a LOT of catching up to do. And a LOT of obis to add to the pile!
