Listening now to this one. I comment on how good these sound, forget the discrete 4.0 surround field, just the pure sonics, bass, mid range and treble are so fine how it all comes together and flows into my ears. My right ear does not do well with high frequencies because of the same old damage that many of us have, my ear wants to compensate for the loss and over modulates, ringing in the ear, and a lot of music tweaks out my right ear. I was thinking of getting a hearing aid for only listening to music, as I seem to hear fine the rest of time, even in a crowd.
I have my annual hearing test next week and I'll see what the audiologist has to say.
Anyway these DV 4.0 discs are like sweet candy to my ears.

well it was gonna be one more for the road with one of Frankie's Quads.. but i took a detour on the shelves and will instead sign off and bid you good people adieu with one of my all-time favourite WEA Quad hidden gems (the mix and arrangements are.. just exquisite)

All you guys are so cool that you listened to Quad back in the day and have kept your hobby alive all these years. I find it all fascinating the different Quad versions and the equipment used to listen to all of it. I have been listening to surround since 2014 and just within the last 6 months I am sort of starting to understand the whole Quad thing that started in the 70's. Any good books on the subject?
