And you may find yourself listening to a great mix
And you may ask yourself, why can't they all be this good?

Living Color - Collideoscope

This is not your fathers "Vivid" (that would have been really great in 5.1) I really loved Vivid when it came out, this had to grow on me a bit but I still like it. Not the best surround mix but it does have a few interesting moments like on "In Your Name" with the little synth burbles bouncing around, actually made me get up and check my 7.1 speakers because they really sounded like they were coming from behind me, if only all the songs were like this! Damn you silverline.

Olga Martynova (harpsichord) - Everything You Wanted To Know About Harpsichord But Were Afraid To Ask - Caro Mitis 5.1 SACD

I just fancied listening to the Aram Khachaturian & the Johann Baptist Cramer tracks. Olga is a brilliant player - the instrument has gorgeous tone - and the recording is first class.

Next, I fancied listening to Valse Triste & the Intermezzo from Karelia by Jean Sibelius on the PEntatone RQR disc

Finally, a couple of movements from Mozart Horn Concertos. I love the way the horn on this recording barks loudly out of the loudspeakers...

If Kevin Reeves has access to the "Mercury" vault tapes, I wonder if he'll consider another 1970's or '71 remaster in the form of Rod Stewart's "Every Picture Tells A Story"? Should be about time for a 45th anniversary edition in surround, me thinks.

Universal Japan did release an SHM~SACD version of Every Picture Tells a Story and IMHO one of their VERY best remasters. Unfortunately it's out of print and of course not in 5.1 surround but if you can find a copy, I VERY highly recommend it. Simply AMAZING! http://hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=9012

Got this today: Screen shot 2015-12-30 at 2.18.41 PM.jpg Anjulie, along with the Ray Charles, Benson & Jarreau, A Charlie Brown Christmas and George Benson MonsterMusic SuperDiscs.

Yup..this one is "mixed bag"...it has some really good mixes , but it also has some duds...so..are we gonna have a Silverline "In Between" category????
BTW, I'm a HUGE Living Colour fan...

I just saw Living Colour last night. Amazing show. I was disappointed that they didn't do anything from Collideoscope or Chair In The Doorway, but they rocked!

We had a table that butted right up to the stage. At one point the bass player walked right up to the edge. I thought he was going to step onto our table. But he picked up a not quite empty pint glass that the guy next to me had sitting there, and started using it as a slide!

Labelle - Nightbirds (Quad SACD)

I ordered this - being tired of the big hit I'm expecting to be blown away at the sq and mix as well as previously unheard deeper tracks. This one gets great reviews, and I liked the EW&F very much which also gets high marks.

The Quad on the Labelle SACD Gene (GOS) is spinning right now is superb, I'm hopeful you won't be disappointed :)

Oranges & Lemons

Anyone else think that The Mayor Of Simpleton sounds a LOT like Joe Jackson? To me, it's obvious.....you think they have been influenced by him? Take a listen to that tune and see what you think....
