Paul Williams - I'm Going Back There Someday - DVD Side 2
Not gonna lie, this retrospective recording could feature stronger singing, but it is honest and intimate. Lots of historical info in the extras.
If you're a fan of any of his songs, go for it.

Rush - R40 Live BD
Yipes, Ged's voice is just toast. :(
I heartily recommend this for die-hards or fans of the uber-classics. The single BD is worth it for Losing It, Xanadu and Jacob's Ladder alone.
It's sad that Ged's voice hasn't fared better, and, even as a long-time fan, I just have to report honestly that it sounds bad quite often, but it's still good to have a memento of the tour and there are some stunning moments that are well-worth the time and expense.

I honestly think that Geddy's voice sounded better throughout the R40 live tour and on the R40 live Blu-Ray than it did on the Clockwork Angels tour and subsequent Blu-Ray release. Now everyone's mileage may vary on if his voice actually sounded better and how much better it sounded, but that's just my own memories and opinions on the matter. :)

Had the house to myself so was able to listen at a volume I enjoy. Listened to The Division Bell, Boys and Girls, Avalon and the Sympathy For the Devil remixes. After listening to Boys and Girls, I felt the need to listen to Avalon. While getting Avalon out I grabbed the Stones. Pretty good day so far. Scott

Earth, Wind & Fire Open Our Eyes: Screen shot 2015-12-31 at 3.25.55 PM.png Now at Drum Song, too cool. This will get a generous score when I vote.

Altered States, Got that one. Must give it a spin.
Genesis package: the only one of the sets I have and I think the best of the lot. Peter Gabriel years.

Sure it's ambient surround, still it's so well done. A bit melancholy at times:Screen shot 2015-12-31 at 7.53.26 PM.jpg Wayne Horvitz Sweeter Than the Day 5.0 SACD

WoW! I was listening to that last night! I was gonna post a photo, but...it was getting late (..early?)

Yes, it's super mellow and a beautiful recording.

This would be a perfect "Chillout" disc for... Derek (or anyone else).
