It's finally weekend for me :friday:

Anjulie MonsterMusic SuperDisc: sure it's pop but I really like the sound and nice discrete use of the surrounds. The website says it's discontinued but I bought it a few weeks ago and was able to add it to the cart today.https://www.monsterproducts.com/Monster_Music_Anjulie_Anjulie

Yes, you can still add this one to the cart if you abort refreshing the page in the right moment. Unfortunately, no option for shipping outside the U.S. (at least for reasonable bucks, that is)...

You must have some Jedi skills because I couldn't get the cart to appear..when I refresh the page I see it momentarily but not long enough to click on it...it just says discontinued

it's super easy using Chrome - simply hit reload and then click on the cross just when the cart starts to appear on the white page

Listening now to David Bowie Young Americans, DTS DVD Surround in DTS 5.1 mode. Also offers PCM Stereo and Dolby Digital 5.1. Sounds great, pleasantly surprised at the discrete 5.1 mix, very active but not gimmicky. The menu is a little screwy, but figured out in about 60 seconds. Glad I was able to score this before anything OOP Bowie doubled in price.

Along with my electronic nite of listening, I suddenly got in the mood for some REM.

a little bit of UP (Lotus is great), Monster (bang and drum), and a fair amount of New Adventures in HiFi all dvda/cd.
Christ, is New Adventures..ever dark and moody music, and I luv it.

Tonight, I think I'll switch it up a bit.

With some classic Punk via The Clash, in DD5.1

How is the surround mix on the Clash DVD???

How is the surround mix on the Clash DVD???

A "hit and a miss" for some tracks, no doubt it's an upmix.

Two tracks are comparitive,"London Calling" has more info in the rear channels than say"Rockin The Casbah".

Overall it is a decent surround upmix I think. The music is excellent, there is no doubt ! And there is bonus material in surround.

If you like The Clash-buy it.

Listening now to Joe Satriani Strange Beautiful Music. I kept looking at Janbakker avatar and just had to pull out this awesome multichannel SACD.

Accept - Blood Of The Nations - SpecWeb Upmix from 24x96 vinyl rip... metal bliss:smokin

SpecWeb seems to be getting a lot of mileage from you !! :upthumb

My Pink Floyd albums never sounded that cool before !
:51banana:

Through SpecWeb, The Wall is pure MCH bliss.. I also never thought I'd have the chance to listen to Animals that way..

I'll have to purchase the Live at Pompeï dvd to make a proper FLAC... I ripped the vhs to mp3 years ago, time for an upgrade!
