Scorpions: MTV Unplugged in Athens. I like the sound from those multiple acoustic guitars.

That's a fun concert...usually I hate Rock bands doing acoustic versions of their songs...like Bon Jovi...just hate it..but this concert with the Scorps really works out fine...I was impressed with Rock You Like A Hurricane and the crowd was too(y)...great atmosphere..

IIRC, it's just a "transfer" of those mixes, not a remix. Maybe digitally "cleaned-up" a little. It is a good mix. Not discrete, no. But energetic and punchy. A little brilliance missing from the drums and the bottom-end is a tiny bit dingy, IMO, but very listenable and I'm glad the video has been preserved at least this well.

No, it's a different mix...not very discrete, but you can tell the difference listening to the bass' growl on the original mix (and also , in a different way , on the DVD)

Yes, this is great - the string orchestra and 4 acoustic guitar-players makes those old/new songs sound amazing.

Funny thing, I ordered this as a dvd - but it turns out to be a blu ray - but it has a typical dvd cover.

Hmmm... seems to me that could be achieved with different mastering? I'd have to go searching for definitive information, like interviews, but I don't recall ever reading that any of the Replay x3 shows were remixed. Maybe they were and it was just the video that was "transferred" (which looks like an old VHS...)

**Wikipedia says remixed by Alex himself... It would be very interesting to know what he had to work with. Like, what was on individual tracks? I also wonder how the mixes would have turned out had they hired a master in the trade. In any case, I think the Replay shows are pretty damn good in DTS**

Great stuff, the story goes (not officially confirmed) that she learned the whole setlist in 48 hours!! Stunning if it's true!!

Edit: see this

I have both dvda's and my ringtone still is "The Siren" to me one of the best songs ever!! But the whole album is great, fantastic band, no more no less. Going back to the Wacken concert now, thanks my Norwegian friend

How is the soundquality/surround on the Showtime/Storytime dvd-a?

You're a good man! I have two dogs myself, luckily the oldest one is completely deaf, but if I crank my machine up the other one has to move to another room for his own wellbeing even if he doesn't want to :howl.
