One of the greatest albums of all time
In my opinion of course

Michael White / Spirit Dance

(IMPULSE! - QS 1972)

Actually I was just reminded by someone that this title is "not" QS encoded (however the SMv2 does decode the stereo extremely well); I just got carried away with all the Michael White stuff!

Either no one noticed or you guys are just being polite!
Come on now, call me on my Bull SH-SH-SHit (either intentional or accidental.) 😄

Miles Davis SKETCHES OF SPAIN [Columbia Records/Monster Music DTS 5.1 remix] Listened very critically early AM ...... Noel Lee, chief Monster, did an incredible remix from Columbia's original three track analogue masters....very informative booklet, as well.

Sketches Of Spain (Surround DVD)
I love this album, it's such a shame the surround DVD went OOP so quickly. Discogs only have two copies, both at silly prices, one over a hundred Canadian dollars (but won't ship to Canada), the other at CND$316. Would love to hear the surround mix.

This is Miles Davis!! How can anything he recorded be allowed to go out of print? Such things should be rectified and designated a "Crime Against Music" by the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

Usually, I loathe synthesized surround releases. I can do a better job with multiple synthesized or DSP modes. QUADRAPHONY

HOWEVER, Noel and the gang did a stellar job in creating the surround mix. Perhaps the only synthesized surround release that I play as surround. Again, I can usually do a far better job. An essential release on any format. This is a spectacular surround synthesis release. YOU NEED IT!

Listening now to Dolby Atmos, new release from SDE Series #6 Orbital-Optical Illusion.
Pretty dang good, for electronica, way better than the recent Electronica I listened to by Max Cooper.
Nice even flow from Dolby Atmos, actual music is a little uplifting.
Easy menu and graphics while each song plays are the same, so you don't have to bother with screen watching.

Not a great surround mix...but glad we have it..... Note the original price label. Man......things have changed. ;)
Per Eric Johnson, the DVD Audio was mixed and published using the incorrect masters. Eric spent over a year to perfect this album. When it was released, he discovered the error and had them pulled from the shelves. There may be less than 2 thousand of these in circulation.
