I guess it's always possible that Supertramp surround releases could eventually happen, but AFAIK, the wedge of division between Rick Davies and Roger Hodgson is still pretty deep, so they may never come to a consensus on surround releases for Supertramp and how they should be done.

i guess they will never sort out crap in between them
those albums unintentionally was made for very cool, aggressive surround and damn, never has been issued neither in quad or modern 5.1

For all you people who dig surround music, I can testify that the brand new Judas Priest, Live, Battle Cry, BD-V, 5.1 is guaranteed awesome. If you don't dig it then text me and I'll give you your money back, assuming you really love 5.1. 4earedwonder, Ralphie, knows I am a super duper audiophile, and I don't ********.

I love Judas Priest... is it awesome in terms of the performance/content or because of the sound quality/surround mix?

Yeah, I know, It's not surround. But, if I spin in place while listening to it, it gives the impression of surround, and I guess that will have to do until my "40th Anniversary Edition" shows up...

:howl

Dude, don't hold back and think too much, the priest video and 5.1 is super duper killer, It is a no brainier, I totally PROMISE you.

Do you have the previous one? It has weird reverb on most of the vocals, damn annoying. I hope this one is different. I will check it out.

Yep, that is a shame, but there's always a chance things could change. :)

I imagine Rick's battle with cancer is higher on his list of priorities than his battle with Roger right now..

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. I'm pretty sure nothing had changed in their relationship before that. Will things be different now? Hard to say, but one thing's for sure, cancer sux… :(

Indeed.. who can say.. maybe one day the two of them could be reconciled.. just hope he makes a full recovery.

I hadn't heard that Rick had been ill. Very sad to hear. Hopefully he makes a full recovery.

As for the fighting among the band members, it now goes deeper than just Roger & Rick. Roger was very angry over the release of the Paris DVD which John, Bob & Dougie did without Roger's consent. Apparently neither Roger nor Rick were paid any songwriting royalties from the DVD. (Songwriting credits don't even appear anywhere on the disc.) It's unfortunate that they came to blows over that project. The Paris footage was a holy grail for Supertramp fans. The DVD is great and was a real treat to finally have it released after the footage had been sitting unreleased in a vault (actually the drummer's barn) for decades. I worry that the fighting that ensued over its release may make future archival projects unlikely.
