andy jackson signal to noise DVD-A: this is an excellent 4.0 disc that I didn't fully appreciate initially. Part of the problem was how to set my system to deal with 4.0 discs. The midranges on my fronts and surrounds are somewhat small (5.25") so I was using the "surround" setting on the AVR instead of "direct" to get the bass to the subwoofer but then it sounds bloated and unpleasant. Had a little time to fiddle with settings today and find that setting fronts and surrounds to full range gives me enough low frequency to satisfy and more. Now looking forward to spinning a few more 4.0 discs this weekend.(y)

Billy Joel Streetlife Serenade Audio Fidelity 4.0 SACD: Don't know much Billy Joel other than the hits but I'm happy to have this and spin it often.

Last night...an underrated jewel:

Barenakedladies - Everything to Everyone - PCM 5.1
Musically kinda blarfy, still, glad the DVD-A is well-mastered, as the CD I got is almost unlistenable

blarfy? What you mean?? Snood love Barenakedladies.........they poppy yes, but very well crafted pop - some misses tho.

This a pretty koo album with some well crafted Pop songs

There are some good tunes here. Baggy like Maroon a lil better. Would he likes "Are Me?"

You can probably get it cheap so it's worth a grab. Not as good content wise as Maroon or Everything. A couple Gems but wasn't a Snood fave.

Seeing some used ones on Amerzon for like 15 bux............ehhhh yeah - but you will not be blown away.

For Snood - Snood has all their stuff, even their Christmas and Kids goofy cd..........so yeah.

Certainly not a must buy, but..........ehhhhh

returning to Supertramp topic...
seems like original producer/engineer for two Supertramp albums Ken Scott, back at beginning of millenia
did attempt to do "Crime of the Century" into surround but his initiative was in vain
:howl  :flame

Crime of the Century by Supertramp would be the most perfect surround record. But after many phone calls, I discovered it's been farmed out. Boy, was I disappointed.

Yes symphonic dvd. I think one of the best performances on dvd. Great sound and visuals. Outstanding performance over two dvds.
