Chicago Transit Authority-BD 4.0...beginnings...first listen...as good as advertised on THIS FORUM(y)...wouldn't you know it....I'm 3 songs into this first disc and I have just received an order from acoustic sounds....turning out to be a great day:)

I'm still on the first disc in the Chicago set...if there was any doubt about the quality of the quad mix vs the Mobile Fidelity version... when you get to I'm a Man...the Quad version just crushes the MoFi version..it's so robust and the depth of the music is incredible for this vintage recording..it's in your face(in a good way) where the MoFi seems distant at times...it just doesn't have the "body" to compete with the quad...not bad by any standard...just not in the same league as the Quad..I'm glad I sold my MoFi version..

The first Multichannel discs I bought were the Depeche Mode SACDs when they came out. I did not have a Multichannel set-up then but I knew that one day I would and that I'd be happy to have them.

The day the announcement came that Audio Fidelity was going to release the Quad mixes on a Hybrid SACD, not only did I know that I would place a pre-order for it, but I started shopping four two rear and a center speakers and an amp for them. The next thing I did was become a member of this wonderful Forum of beautiful mad crazies. A Feast of Friends indeed. My life has been greatly improved by this.

I will forever be thankful to Audio Fidelity and The Doors' management for making this happen. I simply love those mixes!

Morning music. It's funny to think that this album was recorded in the city I now live in. :)

Fleetwood Mac - Say You Will (DVD-A ripped to flac)

First time listening to this one and I really like it. I have the impression that it's a tad over compressed for my taste, but it's still really nice and I find the mix effective.

Have you ever wondered why you had a feeling that the vocal melody for the chorus of Murrow Turning Over In His Grave seemed familiar? The answer is simple. That vocal melody line is the same as Black Betty by Ram Jam. :)

I love using the Oppo app on my phone as a remote. This also gives more Thumb Action on the photo... ;)
