Lute please expound as to why? Snood interest be piqued :smokin

Snood, listening to this music late one night...at bit inebriated in a half awake/ half trance-like state, it had a powerful effect on me. An incredible creation!

To be sure, it's modern, abstract classical music. It's way out there and potent. I know many people (even fans of classical) seem to have trouble with the dissonance, atonality, chromaticism and other aspects of modern classical. But, I find it all fascinating and addictive stuff. And it's benefited immensely from Hirez MCH surround sound.

Thanks Lute ! That'll keep me busy for some time ;)

I might just place an order for "Cerha: Spiegel-Monumentum-Momente" through the amazon link. Looks like I finally have a reason to "succumb" to SACD... Since I play everything from a hard drive, the format never was my favorite, but now that I've found something I really want that isn't available on dvd-a or blu-ray.. there might be an Oppo on the horizon ^_^

Ji eff, we are at opposite ends, my friend. ;) Apart from a few DVD-As & BD-As, SACDs are all I seem to listen to. LOL!!! There is just too much good (Damn good!) music on SACDs. I just picked 6 more up this morning. I couldn't live without my OPPO.

As the old adage goes: "An OPPO a day keeps the Doctor AWAY."

One of the FEW Universal truths left.

BTW, Brett, I just ordered the Cerha double mch SACD. Thanks for the recommendation. http://hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=6573

Playing more Chicago!
It's time for "Chicago III" again! :)

ADDENDUM: Does anyone else think that the track "Free Country" reminds them of "Moonchild" by King Crimson?

gotta love the John Kricfalusi (the ORIGINAL Ren & Stimpy creator and voice of Ren) Cartoon video of "I Miss you"..
I love all of Björk's Surround discs...even the REALLY strange ones...
got the Surrounded Box,
Vespertine on SACD and DVD-A
Medulla on SACD and DVD-A...

As I said, you CAN'T GO WRONG...

gonna have to look at this video.. as I often do I ripped the audio without watching and stored the disc in formol for safe keeping :D

The surround versions really are an improvement over the stereo releases!

Perhaps in time I'll gather the Surround Box's titles I'm missing, but as you said: some are really strange ;)

I got Post / Homogenic / Selmasongs so far..
