Genesis - Wind & Wuthering

I think '... In That Quiet Earth' was the last traces of true 'Bad-Assery' from the old Genesis. I liked some of their pop stuff after this, particularly Mama and ABACAB, but not on nearly the same level.

P.S. - I have had a doozy of a day.

I guess I should've specified that I increased the center channel +4db and my subs +6db :yikes in order to get it sounding pretty decent. ;)

Now listening to: Steven Wilson - Hand.Cannot.Erase. Don't need to do any adjusting on that! :D

Oh..! I must try that with the Ziggy 5.1 too..!! Thanks :upthumb

Nickel Creek - This Side - SACD 5.1
This is gorgeous and super-discrete. Musically, YMMV, but it definitely works for me and is very pleasant.
Available, for the time being, for peanuts (Amerzon).
Go grab it.

Keane - Fronts and Rears (DualDisc)

I mean Hopes & Fears.. ..of course I do..
home now with a headache.. I should be going for a lay down in a darkened room with a damp flannel on my bonce and a belly full of neurofen or something.. but I'm doing the surround music thing instead.. talking of pills, I bet they lace these Quad things with drugs or something, the addictions waaayy too strong..!!! :chill

"iiiiii can't quit you babe..
So I'm gonna put you down for a while..
I said I can't quit you babe..
I guess I gotta put you down for a while..."

..man, if we ever got any studio recordings of Zeppelin in 5.1 I don't think I'd ever sleep, or eat, drink or do anything but listen to it 24/7..! :smokin
maybe it's a good thing it'll probably never happen..

Chicago IX Greatest Hits

I compared the '25 or 6 to 4' on both II & IX and it seems to me to be the exact same.

'Saturday in the Park' also seems to be the exact same version. I'm pretty sure all of the greatest hits are the same version as the original album.

Yes, the only difference between the album mixes and the mixes on IX is that some tracks (like "Make Me Smile") are single edits, but other than that, they should all be the same. :)

Were you listening to the SACD or the DVD-V?

The SACD.

That's what I figured. I also erroneously listed 'IV' instead of 'IX'. It might've been because of this:

Philadelphia Freedom / Love Is The Message - M.F.S.B. (Quad 2-fer)

..and both of these splendid Quads would comfortably fit on one Surround SACD..

..Dutton Vocalion.. ;)
