I think '... In That Quiet Earth' was the last traces of true 'Bad-Assery' from the old Genesis. I liked some of their pop stuff after this, particularly Mama and ABACAB, but not on nearly the same level.

I guess I should've specified that I increased the center channel +4db and my subs +6db :yikes in order to get it sounding pretty decent.

Now listening to: Steven Wilson - Hand.Cannot.Erase. Don't need to do any adjusting on that!

home now with a headache.. I should be going for a lay down in a darkened room with a damp flannel on my bonce and a belly full of neurofen or something.. but I'm doing the surround music thing instead.. talking of pills, I bet they lace these Quad things with drugs or something, the addictions waaayy too strong..!!! :chill

I compared the '25 or 6 to 4' on both II & IX and it seems to me to be the exact same.

'Saturday in the Park' also seems to be the exact same version. I'm pretty sure all of the greatest hits are the same version as the original album.

While not the best surround sound quality, I think it's better than the 7.62 rating it has in the polls, plus it's just a really great album.

Yes, the only difference between the album mixes and the mixes on IX is that some tracks (like "Make Me Smile") are single edits, but other than that, they should all be the same.
