Thinking about Kiama, I thought I'd go and play some of another good Welsh band, Ghost Community "Cycle Of Life" 5.1 FLAC - which is still available, http://ghostcommunity.co.uk/shop/

Thanks for putting me on to this:), I hadn't heard of them:mad:@: just too late to get to their gig in Swansea :( (just down the road from me) after a quick listen on you-tube I have ordered a CD, T-shirt and the 5.1 flac, and am having the 1st listen to them now:music nice:sun

Listening now to Ralph's favorite release of 2014. Blood Sweat and Tears, Child Is A Father Of Mine, 5.1, Audio Fidelity. About as discrete as a disc gets.

Alice Cooper "Billion Dollar Babies" DVD-A... A few surround gems on this one (after tweaking the surrounds slightly), especially "Unfinished Suite", "I Love The Dead", and "Billion Dollar Babies". After listening to this DVD-A, as well as a Q8 conversion, I think this album really deserves to be remixed from scratch in hi-rez!

Alice Cooper - "Welcome To My Nightmare"... good mixes; very good tunes... the wide variety of musical styles and instruments really lends itself to surround

I'd prefer and be happy with the original quad mix mastered in hi-res.

My favourite tune on Billion $ Babies has got to be "Generation Landside " with the crashing guitar solo at the end. But it's only available with the QUAD version, sadly.

The song mixed on the DVD-A is a bit of a let down with a crappy fadeout. Too bad, there's not a quad version on SACD ----which is sorely needed . Even on a "Sampler" would be sublime.

A bit unusual sounding, but it's not too bad of a surround mix. Some had to be created , interesting info in the liner notes, btw.
