My favourite tune on Billion $ Babies has got to be "Generation Landside " with the crashing guitar solo at the end. But it's only available with the QUAD version, sadly.

The song mixed on the DVD-A is a bit of a let down with a crappy fadeout. Too bad, there's not a quad version on SACD ----which is sorely needed . Even on a "Sampler" would be sublime.

Also one of my favorites... on the DVD, there's an acoustic guitar in the left rear throughout the song, but the right rear is a black hole until near the end (when bongos appear in the right rear). There is a guitar solo up front towards the end (not sure how it compares to the original). I enjoy the DVD-a version, but would love an SACD of the quad as well!

Third instalment of my archive DVD-A playlist:

Santana feat. Rob Thomas "Smooth" (Supernatural DVD-A)
Béla Fleck "Spanish Point" (The Bluegrass Sessions: Tales From The Acoustic Planet Volume 2 DVD-A)
Esteban "Mediterana" (Enter The Heart DVD-A)
Ziroq "Pobre Corazon" (Ziroq DVD-A)
The Wallflowers "God Says Nothing Back" (Rebel, Sweetheart DVD-A)
Rob Thomas "Lonely No More" (...Something To Be DVD-A)
Yellow Note "Love Resurrection" (We Love Everybody...And You're Next!!! DVD-A)
Blondie "Good Boys" (The Curse Of Blondie DVD-A)
NIN "The Hand That Feeds" (With Teeth DVD-A)
OutKast "Ms Jackson" (Stankonia DVD-A)
N*E*R*D "Run To The Sun" (In Search Of... DVD-A)
Staind "Layne" (14 Shades Of Grey DVD-A)
Foo Fighters "Another Round" (In Your Honor DVD-A)

The transition from Blondie to NIN was a lot of fun! Biggest surprise: Esteban. Gotta give the disc proper spin here.

Don't you know I HAVE TO buy any format available? ;)

This is just a couple of years younger me, trying to rip my discs to mlp files via foobar for thevery first time and then forgetting about these... Foo Bar Time Machine!

If they reissue TAAB with the lower cost package, I am going to spring for all of the Tulls up to SFTW. Too good of content, and extras that are plentiful and worthy, and original quad included where available.

Best deals in classic rock surround.

It is a Vocalion evening of laid back SACDs, these work well even at low volume. AF Thrust next, but liking Floyd Cramer's take on The Raspberries. Like that Zappa Mr. Pop, I have new found respect for that one.

Bette Midler - The Divine Miss M

Hell yeah! Oh when can we get a new Quad SACD of this one? I think it would sell bigger than big. :)

I agree. Bette Midler is headlining Hello Dolly on Broadway as we speak and it's sold out SOLID. The HOTTEST ticket in town!

Katatonia - Dethroned & Uncrowned MLP 5.1

a sort of toned down and unplugged version of Dead End Kings also listened in MLP 5.1

Shhhhh I prefer this one, Dethroned is kind of desouled but maybe thats the point.

Gonna wrap my head around two very good SW mixes/performances with his m8.

No Man -Together Were Stranger. And. Schoolyard Ghosts. Excellent DVDA'S both. Mix and Music they are two of my favourites---Demo quality too.

PS If you like surround and don't own them----your missing out 4 sure.
Burning Shed has some final copies of Together We Are Stranger cd/dvd-a in stock for £8.99. That's good pricing for an excellent SW mix!

Had a less than stellar day at work. Came home had lunch and a couple beers and went downstairs to watch the Long Ryders Live at the Roxy. I found the K's instead and listened to BB King Reflections and Riding With The King. It made the day much better. Reflections is a average mix but still sounded fine. Riding with the King is a way better surround mix that made my afternoon better. It made me forget how much my day sucked. Scott
