Thanks for the further information. Your initial post inspired in me hope that one could find a sealed CD pack with a BD in it. Seeing that isn't the case, this album will likely stay out of reach for me, unless it is reissued. I like TP a LOT, but current prices for the BD are quite a ways out of my range.

I didn't realize the current prices were so high. Yikes! I can't believe what some are wanting for the CD even.

You're absolutely correct, Adam. AmazonUS has one used for US $70 [used/like new]: https://www.hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=1343 [the cost of an arm but NOT a leg]!:geek: reality check

Truth be told, Adam Bleu, I LOVE the video Bring Me The Disco King on the dualdisc....even in your favorite codec, Dolby Digital 5.1, it sounds superb. Great Bowie track!

I have the SACD , and I had no idea the dualdisc had a bonus track. Thanks 4 pointing it out.

Blood Sweat and Tears...the self titled album(SACD)….this was a big deal for me back in the day....and it still is...David Clayton Thomas...(or his real name David Henry Thomsett)has the type of voice that can just belt out those songs with authority...very powerful...take a simple song like Spinning Wheel...man he just nails it...if there is such a thing as "vocal swagger"...this guy has it...it's just a shame that he couldn't get more decent songs to sing...if he would have had a talented songwriter that could come up with songs to pair with that powerhouse voice he could have been legendary...instead... he's just another singer that passed thru the musical scene...and when I think of lesser talented voices that became household names...it's kind of sad...but he's 76 now and probably enjoying what he has done in his life...at least I hope he appreciates what he has accomplished(y)

I saw him with BS&T LIVE back in the day on a double bill with Sly and the Family Stone and it was an event I shall never forget. I thought BS&T's third album was great but after that and his attempt at a solo career fizzled.

There were SO many great acts back then, the Viet Nam War was still raging on and it seems protest songs became more relevant than "swagger."

Busy day, but early I listened to The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars whilst reading email and looking...
looking for my AC condenser fan motor that was supposed to be here today. Arrgh. It's lost in USPS hell.
Oh well I went out and traced the wiring and took pics to get ready.
BTW, it's been 99* F here the last two days. That's 37* C for you folks everywhere else in the world.

BS&T's 3rd album had some highlights...for sure(y)

We've hit the heady heights of 30degC in a few places over the last couple of days here in the UK, so we're getting warnings of train disruption due to buckled rails, and road problems due to the tarmac melting, does make me wonder . The rest of the world seems to cope! Mind you we also grind to a halt when it gets below freezing, so at least we're consistent

In 1965 Vietnam seemed like just another foreign war but it wasn't
It was different in many ways, as so were those that did the fighting
In World War II the average age of the combat soldier was 26
In Vietnam he was 19
In-in-in Vietnam he was 19
The shooting and fighting of the past two weeks continued today
25 miles west of Saigon
I really wasn't sure what was going on
Ni-ni-ni 19, 19, ni-19 19
