Bruce, Bruce, BRUCE Springsteen, that is: Live in New York City. Culled from two LIVE performances @ New York's Madison Square Garden 6/29 and 7/1/00. Mastered by Bob Ludwig. 2 Single Layered multichannel SACDs with, sorry folks, only ambience in the rears. https://www.hraudio.net/showmusic.php?title=597#tracks

A lot of the hits are there including 6 bonus cuts: Lost in the Flood, Born in the USA, Don't Look Back, Jungleland, Ramrod and If I Should Fall Behind.

The Classic E Street Band line~up!

Sounds fantastic on my system.

You are lucky that it sounds good on your system...not many feel that way...my man Adam gave it a 4 here

Tweaks, Tweaks, TWEAKS: They WORK!

Can't help it if Adam doesn't believe in:

As I mentioned, ONLY ambience in the rears so points off for 5.1 remix [?] IMO, Bob Ludwig did a great remastering job and the two single~layered discs run 2:50 [that's 2 hours and 50 minutes and I paid $9.98 USED/MINT back in 2009]

I just got home from work to find my girlfriend left HBO on in the living room. I caught the last 5 minutes of Being John Malcovich followed by Amphibian by Bjork presented in a Dolby Digital 5.1 remix. I never thought of listening to the end credits of movies for surround mixes of songs, but now I'm curious what other movies have these hidden gems.

Good question! Would love to have a sampler of such gems. There is quite a good one at the end of the movie Up (or is it Wall-E?).
A Peter Gabriel song!

Down To Earth by Peter Gabriel plays over the end credits of Wall-E with a great artsy animation that shows humanity rebuilding society on Earth. Great song... I never noticed if it's a surround mix of the song or just stereo in the fronts. I'd check it out, but that blu-ray has been MIA for years.

Eric Clapton-461 Ocean Boulevard 5.1 mix from the Blu ray from the Give Me Strength box

I have that on a DTS-CD. Haven't played it in a while. I should dig it out and give it a spin.

Thanks :) I've been lurking for months trying to learn more about surround music formats, particularly the old quad formats from the 1970s. I finally got motivated to make an account yesterday. I have two a/v systems and a huge collection of movies and music, but my surround music collection is pretty modest compared to most people on here. I am proud to say I think I have at least one release in every physical media format that it's ever been made on, from Q4 reels to Blu-ray Pure Audio.

Right now the best example of quad is the Dutton SACDs...can't beat the price and quality combination(y)

Oh...I just work there:D but there are times when Florida is a lot like space:rolleyes:
Us yokels were busy sacrificing goats to scare away the moving star, when the carrier owl (well it was dark) dropped a note saying shiny light in the sky is the space station...………...we're still looking for the train!

Thanks for the heads-up. This is much less than what I was considering paying for a Q8 of "Seven" by Poco:

Looks like there's plenty of other discs there to keep me occupied for while, too.

So I started my day listening to a newly acquired 3 3/4ips stereo reel of Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits. Collecting old prerecorded stereo reels has become a bit of an addiction lately. My Akai GX-270D-SS spent way too many years as an ornament on the shelf.
