The Who - Quadrophenia on blu ray in 5.1. Turn up the subs a bit on this one and it becomes pretty sweet

Not in any way like the BD~A, Mike. But I have to admit, it's a beautiful restoration.....if you can get it for 1/2 price go for it!

For sure. The big complaint on this disc has always been weak bass, so if you have the means to give the low end a boost, the rest of the fidelity on this one is superb! Mods and Rockers, what are ya gonna do with them?

I’ll second that, Criterion did a great job with this one! Movie came out in ‘79 (wow, 40 years ago this year!) so Sting would have been around 27ish...

I have the HFPA. I'm not huge in to it. I remember the movie being ok..
I might enjoy a film a lot more. Not sure if the songs are stereo though.
Yes, Baggy can crank the bass!

I have to admit, I like the movie better than the album itself which I sometimes find a chore to get through. Not as melodic or 'engaging' as Tommy, IMO.

Yup. Sounds good to me. Is it discrete? When welcome to the machine started and that clanking machine sound came out of the left rear speaker I jumped out of my seat....
Nice digibook with souvenir postcards......but all I need is the music.
