The Doors singles Blu Ray 5.1 its weird but I prefer the DTS over the PCM.
Got mine Today and must say I had the SACD of LA Woman and this Blu Ray 5.1 blows away Riders of the Storm from the SACD Version. This is a great Quad disc if any of you have any of the SACD's get this Blu ray while the price is still low, the best $20 ever spent. Full 10 for me

Got a chance to give a good listen to Bill Withers: Just As I Am.
If there was a poll for this dual disc, I would rate it an 8.
The music is first rate with Bill backed by Booker T and most of the MGs.
Fidelity is also very fine. The sound of this album is really very nice.
A few points off since the surround mix is not super discrete. Don't know what they had to work with to mix in surround and it's Dolby Digital.
I am liking it a lot, however, and would highly recommend if you like "Ain't No Sunshine."

Talk about spatial definition;), this song's got a Xylophone that moves cross channel and up near the ceiling - Try doing that in stereo!

Who/What I hear you say.

Well, folks, this is one superb 9.1 Auro 3D mix
The music is a combination of many genres.

I can't recommend it highly enough, as to my old lugholes, it really is fantastic.

the live disc's a total waste of time from a surround point of view however. surprising/disappointing since the Poncho Sanchez SACDs are so good.

A nice performance, nonetheless and well recorded, as well [despite lack of discreteness] .........most [ALL?] of the Live at Montreux blu rays have NO discrete elements but the performances are stellar.

yeah that's not to take away from the music or the performance, i just can't be arsed with an ambient or worse surround music mix anymore, way too much wonderful old Quad stuff to get stuck into for which there are never enough hours in the day as it is! :QQlove
