On my system via HDMI, the mch SACD of Every Breath You Take sounds simply breathtaking ......OTOH, the DTS CD pales in comparison. Again, one of those readily available $6 titles from the old BMG Music club .... but scarce as a houndstooth nowadays, Pupster!

i feel a QQ Shootout coming on..!!

(unless a comparison between the DTS CD, DVD-V and SACD, complete with waveforms, has been done already and i missed it?)

Funk yeah! Great album, I wish we could get some Caress of Steel in surround!

I bought this SACD before I new surround sound existed or what an SACD was... during my phase when I was getting rid of all my "old" CDs and replacing them with "remastered" CDs (BIG mistake!) When I played the redbook layer, I was totally unimpressed... years later, after discovering surround sound and purchasing an SACD player, I happily found this in amongst all my CDS... what a jewel! Excellent discrete mix, although most of the songs need a rear boost of about 2dB (4dB for "We're All The Way"). I also added some slight EQ to "Cocaine" and "Lay Down Sally" to overcome that dull sound. "Wonderful Tonight" is perfection as is... no adjustments necessary. Damn, the background vocals on this album are gorgeous... Yvonne Elliman took me to a Luau in Hawaii when I was about 9 years old, lol. I LOVE this album and mix !

Teasing, maybe. I have the SACD and DVD-A now, but not the BD-A.
I have a buddy with an Acura RDX, so maybe the DVD-A will end up with him, if there's no discernable difference.
