Could explain the other issue we ran into, which we couldn't solve. Yeah, I'll PM you a link.Thanks.
I think the decoder process is failing somewhere. Any chance you can PM me with a link to your file that’s failing?

1. What version of DRP are you using?Your other issue has nothing to do with MMH. You think there should be activity in the top speakers constantly. Take it up with Dolby and the guys that did the mix.
On 8.0.4 and 8.0.5 Dolby Atmos won't decode. All other formats decode fine. Is there a log file I can submit for analysis?
To be clear, it finds all the atmos files/chapters, and declares split and conversion complete. But nothing appears and it completes in seconds. I'm using native format. If I use m4a it decodes fine.
Try a different album that you know has worked previously. On 8.0.4 and 8.0.5 Dolby Atmos won't decode. All other formats decode fine. Is there a log file I can submit for analysis?

Actually I shouldn't be trying to extract native Atmos; m4a is the proper container. On 8.0.4 and 8.0.5 Dolby Atmos won't decode. All other formats decode fine. Is there a log file I can submit for analysis?

Yes. PowerDVD Ultra will handle m4a, mkv, and mp4 with atmos content (bitsreaming via HDMI).M4A is best for players like Kodi that want tags and can play TrueHD in an MPEG container.
Looks like I've hit yet another roadblock. The Dolby guys aren't helping me fix this issue. Now what do I do?1. What version of DRP are you using?
2. When I export the audio to 7.1.4, the audio comes out perfectly, yet it only apears sporadically when exported to 9.1.6. It's not that I think there should always be activity in the top speakers, it's that the decoder (as in DRP) works perfectly only in certain speaker configurations.
3. I think DRP might be having problems with decoding certain audio tracks to speaker configurations past 7.1.4. So it might be a Dolby issue like you said.

4. Is there any way you can PM me a link to download the version of DRP that you're using, please?
5. I contacted the Dolby guys about the issue. Hopefully, this issue will finally be sorted out. (If it hasn't already)
I guess you've verified the content is actually 9.1.6? Run it through MediaInfo and see what it says?Looks like I've hit yet another roadblock. The Dolby guys aren't helping me fix this issue. Now what do I do?
I have checked the mediainfo many times, and it says the atmos audio is "Meridian Lossless Packing FBA with 16-channel presentation". But I still don't know what the problem is.I guess you've verified the content is actually 9.1.6? Run it through MediaInfo and see what it says?
MediaInfo identifies all lossless 'Atmos' files as being "Meridian Lossless Packing FBA with 16-channel presentation" as well as being "MLP FBA 16-ch"....I have checked the mediainfo many times, and it says the atmos audio is "Meridian Lossless Packing FBA with 16-channel presentation". Does it play gapless meanwhile? Or do I still need the CUE-file workaround?M4A is best for players like Kodi that want tags and can play TrueHD in an MPEG container.

By the looks of it, some Atmos tracks don't work properly when decoded to 9.1.6. That's what I'm trying to figure out.MediaInfo identifies all lossless 'Atmos' files as being "Meridian Lossless Packing FBA with 16-channel presentation" as well as being "MLP FBA 16-ch"....
So, does this suggest that all these Atmos encodes offer front left and right height channels?
