I haven't kept up for awhile, so sorry if its answered; I did scan the latest pdf but didn't see an answer.

I know that MMH can fix inversions and delays, but can it detect them in multichannel files?

No detection. Only manual fixing. I’m not sure how auto detection could be done.

Apologies if I missed this but when decoding Atmos, I'd previously compensate for the DialNorm values manually (usually by adding 13dB gain, depending on the DN value).

Doing this with the latest Atmos helper release seems to clip the files. Am I right in thinking MMH now compensates for DN values automatically?

A change in 8.0.6 (November 3):

Changes:
MMH Atmos Helper: Decoder: Decoding EAC3 Atmos (Dolby Digital Plus) now has louder decodes (previous DRP command line argument was ignored)

A change in 8.0.6 (November 3):

Thanks!
Is the volume boost tied to the DN values? I tried decoding two files, one with DN -18 and one -31, and neither seemed louder than the other after decode, which seems to point that way?

The 8.0.6 release changed a decoder setting from one that suppressed Dialnorm (that actually did nothing) to a new setting that changes Dialnorm to 0 during the decode (to make output louder). A fellow QQ member did some detailed comparisons and the new setting makes the EAC3 decodes about 10db louder. My tests shows the increased volume varied by encoded DialNorm setting. (Measured not by listening).

I don’t have Dolby docs on these settings, this MMH Atmos decoding change is based on experimental results. The previous Dialnorm suppression option for EAC3 did not work (probably a bug in DRP). Edited for clarity.

If you run decodes using current MMH Atmos Helper vs MMH 8.0.5 or earlier you can compare the results yourself.

Great, thanks!
Compensating for DialNorm automatically is a big time saver.

Does this affect if we are extracting 24/48 TrueHD to wav, or just EAC3?

For Kodi users, MMH's Chapter Editor has a new option to create a new mka file with no chapters when creating a cue for a MKA file (Kodi 21 will not load a mka file with chapters from a CUE, it thinks an mka with chapters is an audiobook!)

The new File Manager has been optimised (faster loading) over last month or so and now shows Dolby Vision FEL data (for DoVi movie, TV Series and Music Videos/Concert releases):

And after over 1 year I finally documented how to select individual albums in the Tag and Rename tool (use the 'Select Files' button shown in yellow in this new screen shot (The Yes Album’s ‘Select Files’ button has been flicked to focus the Tag Editor on the album):
