I just noticed this! It’s only on my Apple tv though, on my iPad it’s all there. Odd, since one would assume it’s all pulling from the same server. I love Apple Music, but it’s a damn mess at times, especially their reluctance to properly identify Atmos music. There’s no rhyme or reason to the way multiple versions of certain albums are prioritized. For example, the featured album on the New Order artist page is Low-life. Is it the Atmos version? Of course not. Movement- it IS the Atmos version, but it’s labeled “Lossless”, not Atmos. Plus, you can play the Definitive version of both those albums and get Atmos versions of the core album tracks, despite again, being labeled Lossless. One of the Movement instances has a fancy newanimated album cover, but it’s an older mix of the album. Oh, and the lyrics are embarrassingly poorly transcribed. In some cases the timing is so far off that it’s several verses behind what’s playing. They’re so bad on both counts that I prefer to just turn them off.

so strange. i just checked again on both my phone and apple tv and only chosen time, the him and denial play in atmos on the definitive and 2019 remastered versions. my receiver switches back to stereo for the other songs. very annoying.

Totally agree. Zappa's Apostrophe (') was only showing as stereo for me in Australia so I didn't bother listening to it on release date. I played it last weekend still thinking it would be stereo and it was actually in Atmos. I am sure that it's a big task to identify and tag the hundreds (maybe thousands) of new albums that come onto Apple Music each week but this is a Trillion Dollar company.

They should do better......

For once, Tidal seem to have the up on Apple then. All correctly labelled. :)

Listening now...on repeat
It's all I hoped it would be... superb 👍
Wow!

Blue Monday has to be one of the best overhead Atmos mixes. A stellar job by SW.

Unseats Kraftwerk as the new standard for the synth pop / post punk / electronica genre 😆

SDE needs to facilitate a physical release.

And now onto Movement.

What a week for the Children of the ‘80’s.
Ultravox’s Lament, Two New Order albums and hit single.

All on the heals of some great neo-prog releases of Fish’s first two solo albums.
Just Wow

Anyone have a link to Blue Monday on Tidal? Movement is a top release for 2024.

How did you find it? Thanks!
As always, searching in the mobile App (that shows the Atmos logo when the track/album is in Atmos). Then selecting "Tracks" or Songs (i dont know how it is in english as I have it in spanish)

But sometimes the search does not find the Atmos track/album, and have to add some more words to narrow the search.

For example, searching "New Order Blue Monday" ... gives lots and lots of results in "tracks", but no the Atmos one.
Searching "New Order Blue Monday 2023" Gives only seven results under "tracks" and the last one "Blue Monday (2023 Digital Master)" is marked as Atmos.

Then, you know, "..." / share / copy Link And save to "My Collection" to avoid searching again..

When songs or albums are removed from the service, I used to still have the 'saved' in My Collection, although it cannot be played. I don't know if that's still the case.

I still can’t seem to locate it on my Apple TV/Music. What am I missing??

The core problem seems to be that there’s like 30 different versions of it on streaming, you want the “2023 Digital Master - Single” version:

I find browsing this site on my iPad or phone easier, that way I can click the album, and it directs me to Apple Music, and then I hit add to library to find/use later. That said, the iPad web browser doesn’t like Apple Music embeds these days for some reason, it never opens Apple Music

Admittedly difficult to find on Apple.
If like me, you can't follow @PurpleMoustache 's link from your browser to the AppleTV Box - here is the long way

For Blue Monday:
* Go to the New Order - Artist Page
* Go to the Singles & EP Section
* Scroll to the very end of that section
* Select the very last icon called - Blue Monday (2023 Digital Master) Single

The icon looks like an old floppy disc in black & white with a color band on the right side. There are two that look alike - pick the last one.

And here is the dumb way to get to Low-Life

* Go to the New Order - Artist Page
* Go to the Albums Section
* Scroll to "Low-Life (Definitive)" (Silver cover, hard to read words 'New Order' & 'Low-Life')
1727455869607.png

* Select that & scroll down past all the songs until the "Other Versions" section is shown.
* You should see two options with the same original artwork (drummer/keyboardist Stephen Morris on the cover)
* Select the second icon called - Low-Life (2022 Digital Master)

* Get ready for an awesome Atmos mix

Interesting, I don't know Apple, but it sounds quite similar structurally to Tidal and my recollection is that sounds pretty much how I found Blue Monday Atomos on Tidal. It was the very last one. Like it was deliberately hiding.
