We are pleased to announce that New Order's music will be released in Dolby Atmos spatial audio for the first time later this month. Mixed from the original master tapes by Steven Wilson, and overseen by Stephen Morris, the albums 'Movement' and 'Low-Life' along with the single 'Blue Monday' will be available to stream from 20th September.
To celebrate the release, Apple Music in conjunction with Dolby, will be hosting a special one off Q&A with Steven and Stephen at 1900 on 18th September at YES in Manchester.
We will be offering 15 pairs of tickets for fans to attend, on a first come first serve basis. Keep a look out for the link to sign up, coming soon...

Do you know if the albums will also be on Tidal? Fingers crossed.

Iā€™ve checked every instance of Blue Monday, and none of them are in Atmos, as far as I can tell. Otherwise, Low-Life is a TRIP and a half, plus it seems to have been ā€œreimaginedā€ to some degree (above and beyond the spatial mix)ā€¦ Stephen Morris has ā€œoverseenā€ the project, and I suspect he may have granted some artistic license to, or even directed Mr. Wilson. Iā€™m most of the way through Movement, and itā€™s less extreme than LL, but fabulous nonetheless.

Here on the East Coast, the ā€œ2023 Digital Masterā€ (linked above) is the only one thatā€™s in Atmos.
Oh man, that is impossible to navigate to in Apple Music both on the Apple TV and my iPad. I have only been able to get to it via that link (which incidentally wouldnā€™t open in the actual app until I jumped through even more hoops). I hope these are just sitting in hiding, waiting for tomorrow to be officially rolled out, because nobody will find these (even the two full albums are listed as ā€œLosslessā€ even though they play in Atmos-although there are ā€œother versionsā€ listed at the bottom that do indicate theyā€™re in Atmos (but not Blue Monday)l. This is nuts, but I wonā€™t complain yetā€¦ theyā€™re not supposed to be available until tomorrow. Iā€™m in Seattle, PST, so even if the early rollout was delayed 3h on this coast, itā€™s still not truly visible to the public. Now that Iā€™ve unearthed it, Iā€™m going to listen to it!
