My sacd from acoustic sounds as well as the Blu-ray from SDE are both to be here Friday. I’ll be waiting at the mailbox.
10-11 minute mark is great. Keys are rolling all around.Dogs has a really nice circular bit that is striking. Super.
It may need some info submitted to www.makemkv.com - Index page to get whoever does whatever needs doing over there to do their thing. I'm not sure how to get that info though so perhaps someone else can chime in? New BDs/4Ks often won't MKV for a bit until some info is updated.Playing a bit louder now. This is epic. I mean, from an overall fidelity standpoint, this is massive. It truly is. It's stupid good. Though, I cannot get Make MKV to work on this one. It just gets hung up and won't do it's thing. Hmmm

Also possible, the disc may have that "invisible haze" on it which players can read through but that BD drives/MakeMKV can't. Have you given the disc a jolly good but very careful clean?
Ah right. Good to know. By the time I get around to acquiring a new disc, any sort of dump update has been done already so MakeMKV usually behaves for me.I don't think this is needed for BDs, only 4K UHD BDs that use a new encryption system
If you do, let us know what it's like! I was tempted to go the JBH route but it ain't available here in NZ for a few weeks so I pre-ordered it from Amazon.com. It's currently waiting for a movie to be released and then they'll ship it. Still be quicker and cheaper than buying it here.Yea it’s a killer waiting for shipping from overseas these days. I’m planning to wander down to my local JBHiFi and grab one off the self tomorrow (and pay the overpriced fee they have listed, just to hear this one asap)
Those dirty discs can be tricky though and need a good wipe with a wet microfibre cloth!
Ha! I think they apply that gunk directly at the factory. I'd love to know what it is. It's spread all over the inside of the cases so probably a "case plastic" thing rather than a disc thing. Anyway, back to the reviews...You should stop using those discs as beer coasters then
I also received mine today (also from Bullmoose, natch), but haven't been able to listen to the whole thing.Playing a bit louder now. This is epic. Same here. JB's price is decent, and well worth paying for listening to this one tomorrow. Sometimes, they put stuff on the shelves before release date. It happened a few times, so I might go tonight before they close at 9pm... just to seeYea it’s a killer waiting for shipping from overseas these days. Seriously? I've never noticed anything like that here in the US ???Ha! I think they apply that gunk directly at the factory. I'd love to know what it is. It's spread all over the inside of the cases so probably a "case plastic" thing rather than a disc thing. Anyway, back to the reviews...
That's what I said but my lovely wife pointed out that I would sit there all day listening rather than finishing the kitchen, etc. I've made a counterproposal of a curfew!Really? Setting up the surround system would surely keep you warm enough!
Same here. They gave me "the rise of Gru" however, which is also scheduled for release tomorrow. So, why this movie yes and Animals no?I just got back from JB HiFi. Not on shelves yet, I asked an assistant and they went out back to check on stock. She came back and said she was sorry but couldn’t sell me one until tomorrow (Friday). I asked do you actually have them in stock? Reply: Yes they’re still in their shipping boxes and will be unpacked tonight.
So back to the store tomorrow morning and will have my first listen by 10:00am MEL time!
