I will have to see what the cost is. For me the inclusion and forced purchasing of vinyl is a deal breaker. That's the only reason I have skipped all the Rush box sets. It's a principle thing for me. Being forced to buy something that I can't play just seems manipulative.....
BUT... it's THE f-in Dark Side Of The Moon.... I'm so conflicted....

Grumble, grumble…OK, maybe you’re right 🤔
Don’t get me wrong, I reserve the right to grumble with everyone else when the price is announced and I realize how much I’m basically paying for a single Atmos disc.

But this is the life I've (we’ve?) chosen. We all, at some point, stand on the edge of a giant musical cliff and ask, “Is the surround version worth the extra cost that includes vinyl and nick-knacks I have no use for?”

As @Bill B just said, it’s THE f-in Dark Side Of The Moon. So yeah... many of us will clutch our credit cards close to our chest and jump off the cliff.

And as I write this @rtbluray just shared the price. Yup... I’m in. Pre-order done.

I can't play the Atmos mix (setting aside whether it's any good), it doesn't appear to include the original quad (which I value highly), and there's a bunch of vinyl that I neither want nor have any ability to play. Unless the 5.1 is a completely new mix there is absolutely nothing here for me.

Oh bugger

I said I wouldn't buy another expensive box set...

This release....humm...Atmos....humm

Oh sod it

Just fleece me some more!!
I've stopped buying big box sets with vinyl, but I may make an exception for this one. Will have to see what the Norwegian price comes down to, I'm afraid it will be close to $400. Hopefully the Atmos mix will be on Apple Music, it has to be good for me to shell out this amount of money for the box.🤔

 £250 for an Atmos Mix o_O, looks like just a 're-hash' of the Immersion Set with no Quad mix included, and the Blu-Ray will probably fail like my discs in the Immersion Sets & Early Years mega-expensive box. I may be a Pink Floyd fanatic but am I willing to cough up again? Not sure how much of a fanatic I am!

At this point the immersion box still offers more to me than this, including the unreleased early mix and the superior Parsons Quad mix.

Guthrie really is going to have had to up his game for Atmos mix to be more that Atmos stereo like his 5.1. Stereo mixes

I don't need or want the vinyl I have been spending my time recently getting rid of the last vest ages of vinyl I own as I have not listened to it in nearly 30 years.

My guess is this will not sell that well no demand for an Atmos mix and no further investment in mixing back catalog.
