Why not the Spinners? I've been predicting "Pick of the Litter" the last two times now. Not that I want it that badly just sayin'.

I think that we can rule out artists influenced by black artists and focus strictly on black artists. There is no shortage of them.

My greatest hope would be for more War.

I'm only familiar with Graham Central Station from the last Quadio release but would welcome more!

A sonic upgrade of "The Best Of Aretha Franklin" would be nice at some point.
the other Graham Central Station Quad, 1975's "Ain't No 'Bout-A-Doubt It", is absolutely fantastic!! one of Warner's best (and sadly last 🤷🏻‍♀️) Quad mixes with lots of cool panning and effects, a real Surround spectacular 💘

I would be greatly surprised if a recording by a black jazz artist is not included in the next batch. It would certainly fit the Rhino template, as it were.
oh yes, hopefully! 🤞 there weren't many Atlantic Jazz Quads and most of the biggies have been covered by Rhino's Quadio programme already (Duke Ellington's "New Orleans Suite", Charlie Mingus "Mingus Moves", Gil Evans "Svengali"), at this stage there's 3 x Herbie Mann Quads, "Push Push", "Hold On, I'm Coming" (Live at the Montreux Jazz Festival, 1972), "Reggae" and 3 more by The Modern Jazz Quartet, "Plastic Dreams", "Blues On Bach" & "The Complete Last Concert" and probably some others i can't remember 🥴🤦‍♀️🥳😅

Oops. That was a typo. I meant "yes" to Spinners. GCS, more unlikely, especially since they had one in bundle 5. Spinners were back in bundle 2!

Herbie Mann would be awesome and, as much as he's got a nice black influence in his music, he was a good white, Jewish boy. So not likely in this next batch.

Still, if Discothèque ever was found to have an unreleased quad, (1975,) I'd lose my mind! Hi-Jack was a huge hit for him, his only pop song and it topped the "Disco" charts at the time for several weeks. Still, I'd take any of his quad works, like Push Push, which was on Q8 only.

Adam, you make a very good case for a MJQ release!

There's also these 'Black History Month' considerations ;

War Live
Curtis Mayfield Back To The World
Curtis Mayfield Roots
Alice Coltrane Eternity
Fats Domino Hello Josephine Live At Montreaux
if the Curtis Mayfield Quads actually still exist and Rhino choose to Quadio-ize them, that would be superb as tapes were said to have gone up in a blaze at the artist's home! 🤞

Wow , another fire yet , on master tapes ?

Me thinks, Iron Mountain came to be , just a few years late , Freddie.

Maybe this is a case for sleuthing, via @ForagingRhino

I would love to see Mayfield 's Roots as a Quadio .

in the early 90's, Curtis Mayfield's Mother was caring for him in the wake of the horrific accident that paralyzed him when stage rigging at a concert fell on him breaking his back, rendering him quadriplegic.
his Mother had apparently abandoned a lit candle which had somehow set fire to the house. Mayfield was rescued from the building while it was ablaze but the fire destroyed many of his recordings which were stored down in the basement. some of his tapes were reportedly salvaged but many were said to have perished in that fire.
