called weaving. It allows us to pull the wire where we want it AFTER the drywall
We all seem to be a bit confused with the weaving Rickie, is it power romex, looks flat or speaker wire? When I have always done my rooms that possible needed excess was at the outlet box end, just cut and done. Having never done this, your way, my one and only fear is what if when pulling it binds on one of the staples?
It also keeps the audio cables crossing at 90 degrees to the electrical wiring. This is considered best practices for preventing havoc in the audio sound from electrical wiring.
Yes, that makes sense.

okay. you kids settle down now

we run the romex wire in this fashion in areas that are light fixture placement dependent. I.E - pendant lights over a future bar or island . Or light bars over vanities. Rather than pull the wire now ( and then find out that its in the wrong spot necessitating drywall cutting and repair ), we do this and then
pull the wire at Finishing of the house ( or barn here ). Nice and easy, lemon squeezy

Might be time to find a used tractor with a PTO and a used bush hog?
I have no such equipment on my paltry 5.3 acres. Several years ago I finally broke down and bought a Husqvarna zero turn with 48" deck. Why 48 and not 52? because I have a lot of "stuff" to mow around where I can barely get the 48" deck through.

On New Year's Day 1999, I bought a 24 HP Sears riding mower. I patched on it and replaced the engine once, decks 4 or 5 times (sand here eats those stamped decks up) until I bought the Husky about 4 years ago.

Ford made some damn good tractors from about 1939 up through the war years. If you can find one cheap that's been converted over to PTO and maybe hydraulic for raising and lowering the "arms" (technical term) then it might be a sweet deal, if not the latest/greatest. Especially if you are mechanically inclined....

Hey Boonie
My excavator is my friend ( btw - I wish him well as he recuperates from prostate surgery ). He has All the cool equipment. He tells me that we will chew up this ground into a manageable lawn surface. So that means my little TRUSTY 22 year old John Deere 110 rider - Kohler engine - is too small. And I get to spend some money on a big zero turner. And then I will be mowing about 4 acres total lawn

I grew up with a 1951 Ford N. What a great tractor !! It had a PTO. We had a huge rear run PTO snowblower and were hero's in the Blizzard of '78 due to this set up
That lil Nancy was a workhorse

@cbmmm3 , people such as yourself are a tremendous asset to our community. When a significant other says, "Your audio system is insane and so are you," we can show them your pics and reply, "Oh yeah? Well, take a look at this effin' guy." That'll shut 'em up. :LB
Been there, done that. I showed my wife a picture of Michael Fremer’s record collection, and she still thinks I’m crazy by owning over 1400 LPs.

Hi. cbmmm3

I have just come across your ....Audio Video Barn Build Project
I am very happy that you have fulfiled your dream, I hope you didn`t have any city council permit trouble that held you up in your progress of the build, like I had in my mancave project. I got there at the end....
BBQ...

Dont forget to send me my commission / royalty checks ( after all - Im going to need some dough after this project )

What are you using for speaker cable? I wired my room with 14-4 in case I wanted to bi-amp any speakers later. In the mean time the wires are paralleled so equivalent to a #11 gauge.
