Ricky's Audio Video Barn Build Project

Well Folks. It was a dream for many many years. And on March 18 of this year - at the urging of @marpow Markie, he convinced me to document the progress of Dream into Reality . And 70 pages later, here we are. We digressed, we laughed, we debated. And we ( or I ) had fun. And I worked my arse off on this project as there was a house that was built next to the barn. Its done. Almost. Still need a few drywall repairs. Still need paint touch up. Still need some audio tweaks ( another set of sound anchors, etc ). The AV team was here again today and got this sucker DIALED In. I thought I had a nice system at my last house. What they did today is jaw dropping. The clean precise sound coming from where it was produced to be is wonderful. And the video ??? I went from a 2000 vintage projector to a 2024 Sony Projector. Here is - pretty much - the final product. Thanks guys and gals

I love the dynamic qualities of big towers. You are blessed to have the room and gear to do it in 7.x.x It must sound awesome for music.

Actually its a 9.4.4 system and - yes - I will be doing room treatments. First step is to get the furnishings and CD and DVD racks in place then we will see what where and how to tweak

as an addendum to this thread. Been REALLY enjoying all those Atmos selections I bought and never opened. Yello Point. My goodness is this one mind blowing. And sub woofer blowing too !!!

Very COOL! I guess you adjust the acoustics with either a chainsaw or a blowtorch? But I'd want a heated recliner in there!

I can't thank you enough CBMM3 for sharing your journey to your audio / video bliss with all of us. I have absolutely loved the dream, adventure and eventual glorious joy. We all strive for our audio nirvana and continue to find the never-ending joy of life. Time seems short as we step towards that last light. But damn, we can sure enjoy our travels to that resting. I don't "plan" on checking out soon but I'm sure as hell going to enjoy whatever is left. Enjoy retirement CBMM3 as you worked hard for this time and most important, YOU DESEARVE IT. Hey JohnN, have you looked at the NHL standings lately? The Rangers continue to tank and are in total disarray. The Leafs were in first place but have lost two in a row and dropped to second. At least I have two backup teams in the area: Devils and Islanders. And as we all know, the regular season is almost meaningless as long as a team makes the playoffs.

Playing the Devils tonight. Regular season doesn't really matter. Leafs always tank in the playoffs after decent season records. Same old story to this hockey play.
