Much to my surprise, we have in the neighborhood of 26,000 registered voters in this county. I did not think the population had grown so much.
So for a large county, area wise, we still don't have a large population.
Hence no abundance of big box stores. I'm good with that.
I can still hear my neighbors chickens. Country living, I love it to the max. Don't need no steenking big cities.

Even cheap Vodka be getting up there. I think I'll lay off the statins for a week and get some Beefeater Gin and a gallon of good grapefruit juice.
Or maybe some good tookillya and some of margaret's mix? Throw some triple sec in?
Any suggestions on tookillya? Haven't drank it in a while....that I remember anyways. I seem to remember some Dude name Jose...?
Oh how I miss grapefruit! Same boat. And I live in the Rio Grande Valley, home of very good citrus.

No suggestion for Tequila (which is what you want), but for Vodka (which you did not ask for but I'll give anayway), it depends on whether you prefer Potato made Vodka or Rye made Vodka. For Potato Vodka I go with Absolut (Sweden), but my favourite is Rye Vodka for which I go with Wyrobowa (Poland).

Cheers!

Down in the boondocks. Down in the boondocks. You can put me down but that's the side of town I was born on. :p

Yeah we got a lot of fast food joints up by I-10. Most of them I wouldn't waste my money on. But otherwise we got a WalMart and a Lowes.
No fast food fish joints, lots of chicken and burgers. Lord give me a Long John Silver or any kind of fish joint. You would think in Florida there would be a plethora of fish to eat,
We also have a couple of food trucks called “The Kilted Kod” selling excellent fish & chips.

Oh, and welcome back after your most recent hurricane experience.

I didn’t think that was a possibility. 😲
Ya know...this reminds me of something that Gos and I experienced when we joined this forum...this forum was(and still is)a prog heavy forum...and I was reluctant to speak up when these bands that I never heard of was being discussed...most of these were either prog bands or English groups...the reactions I got when I did mention these bands I never heard of was very similar to barfle's post

Sort of like how a lot of users here have simply missed the (amazingly woderful and diverse) boat on classical. I see a bit of enthusiasm for jazz (if quadio does it, I’m in, e.g.) but if a classical post gets a response, it’s unusual.

If you make a public admission of that in Iowa, the state patrol is summoned to escort you to the border. 🚨
Since I'm in the mood to confess....it's time for another one....I have NEVER watched any episodes of LOVE AFTER LOCKUP...I know...I know...hard to believe I could resist watching all those ugly overweight women hooking up with felons...but it's true

so Clinty no corn dog. Youre missing out on one of lifes grand pleasures. My guess is that youve never had an elephant ear either.
OK I'll bite (ha ha) what is an Elephant's Ear? It is a circular piece of dough that is fried and then topped with cinnamon sugar. A skeleton of grease and flour topped with sugar. You KNOW it's good for you!

See what I just posted about this in the Quadio batch 6 thread.
