Yes, agreed, wonder why they couldn't offer these for rent via streaming versus subscription. Or maybe these 'rare; and less requested discs are already available on Amazon Video? When it comes to movies, I fall in with the popular crowd, so know very little about this side of entertainment, and think more like a consumer who simply wants convenience.

With Japanese SACDs, in my experience, it's best to order multiple at a time and use a proxy shipping service, that way you minimize additional costs!

HA! Yes, the latter is what my wife explained to me, but as she was walking me through mechakusha, she did explain the nuances of the slang term. I was able to slip into an HMV, but they had no SACDs!! They were primarily vinyl:

Tower Records should have SACDs in store AFAIK, but I don't know how much of a hassle that would be to visit.

They might have a few of those ECM and CTI STEREO SACDS released by Tower Records.....impossible to find in the States except through pricey ebay vendors and only available from CD Japan through proxy orders!
