I hope to make it! I did stop at a shrine today and sent you all Light and Love . . . in surround, of course! The biggest crow i ever saw is perched on the left side of the picture, about halfway down:

Ah! My wife called it a Karasu, which i see translates to crow or raven! It's wingspan must have been about 5 feet! Speaking to her now, she said she might call it a jungle crow. A quick google search tells me a jungle crow is also called a large-billed crow! Ah, semantics! Ah, ornithology!

Having lived in Sacramento nearly my whole life, and being the original location of Tower Records, it would be fascinating for me to see how that store is set up and stocked compared to the ones that were here.

Japanese crows will be our future overlords. Some of them pick up walnuts, drop them at traffic intersections so the cars run over the shell and crack them open, then fly down to the pedestrian crossing, and wait until it's safe to cross before eating the kernel. Next stop: world domination.
