Wow! What's it like getting up there?

I'd be surprised if it's still open to the public?

Actually I heard they're putting a Starbucks in...
It was very intense. The immensity of stone all around and above you.
I remember descending down to a chamber, but I was in several pyramids, so not sure about the passage to this specific chamber.
This would have been around 1987.
Pre-KFC, and any development. It was a long camel ride to get there!
Anyway, I found a copy of the album on discogs. Looking forward to hearing it! I'll have Mom over and reminisce about the adventure.

Happy belated birthday, Pete! Sounding really good through the SM v.2 . . . doll sold separately!

Been on a shoegaze kick of late. Apparently Neil Halstead was on a podcast recently and he said a new Slowdive album is "finished", so I guess we'll be getting some more Slowdive this year. Can't wait!

And now for something completely different... and brand new! The new album from The Murlocs, Calm Ya Farm.

The Murlocs is one of the myriad side-bands from King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard members. Fronted by Kenny Ambrose-Smith (commonly known as Ambrose) who's Gizz's keyboardist/harmonica/percussionist, and Cook "Cookie" Craig, who's rhythm guitarist/sometimes bassist on Gizz records.

Strong blues rock focus. Pretty dang good.

Wow.. a really good pressing and the tapes seemed to be in great shape in 1977 plus great mastering by Ken Perry and "legendary" Wally Traugott...if anyone has seen Rick Beato's visit to Abbey Road where they discuss the baking of the tapes and the AR engineer stated that since EMI used their own brand of tape, they probably used whale oil since the EMI brand tapes did not need baking...
an interesting collection to hear all of these "Love songs" together...
