my nightly making-dinner listen. Although I was a pretty serious Bruce fan many years ago, had not really followed him until this came out. Love the 70's Jimmy Webb vibe.

yeah- Robert lived here for a couple years while he was dating Patty Griffin. He was pretty accessible then. Waterloo is a great, iconic store here in Austin....still love going in there.
Patty was with him that day. In fact, she said, "Come on Robert, you're holding up the line." He ended up buying a cheap Crosley turntable for some reason.
 
Haven’t listened to this in 25 years or more. I pulled it out today and cleaned it up and forgot how good this is. I don’t think it’s very well recorded but this was the first time I heard it on an upgraded system and it’s worth a listen. Only album I know of that gives you a preview of all the songs as a last track.

I like this album very much. Elton thought enough of the title track to include it on his recent box set. I am searching daily for the elusive UK Mono version of this album.
