Never got to see Jeff in person and it will always be a regret. He ranks number one with me for guitar players, too.

After I posted here, I did manage to find the Japanese versions in this series of Wired and Blow By Blow on eBay and Discogs, so I look forward to those arriving in a couple of weeks.
Also love 'There and Back', always thought the album could use an updated mastering to give it more detail and punch- of course a nice 5.1 mix by a master would be awesome!

I have this LP by Friday Music, which sounds OK IMO-

I did see Jeff once, Stevie Ray opened for him - I thought Jeff was in a weird period during that time and used his whammy bar way too much, at least for that show. :)

SRV... another wonderful guitar player!

T&B tops my list of “Albums I really want in surround, but probably completely unrealistic and I need to move on with life.”

But, yeah, a 5.1 (or an even more unrealistic special-made quad) would bring an unmeasurable amount of joy.

I saw these guys warm up for Dream Theater a few years ago. Immediately went to their website and bought this. Recommended if you like instrumental prog-metal.

Just bookmarked the three full albums they have on Apple Music to listen to while I work this week. (Looks like they have a couple of EPs, too.)

Not too far away from the DT offshoot Liquid Tension Experiment, at least from a quick jump around some of their songs.

Progarchives doesn't seem to rate their second album as highly as this and their third. I also bought one of their EPs when I picked these up. I have only heard this one, so far.
