That extra savings on Walmart helps with the problem part of the box set...the vinyl:geek:

You KNOW you're eventually going to spring for a Turntable and 'prop it up' on cinderblocks a la GOS 3.0, Clinty!:ROFLMAO:tick, tick, POP POP!

Furthermore, in Space, Clinty, no one can hear you scream nor be privy to those abominable Vinyl ticks, pops or [ugh] swishes!

I saw on the news that Walmart is going the route of Amazon, Netflix etc. by producing original TV/motion picture programming and eventually start their own streaming services.

They could still do that in addition to physical discs...the Walmart customer base is the type that does favor physical discs..

No...not going to happen:cool:

As much as I like the low price by Walmart and before that amazon...there is a downside...look at Bullmoose….a nice company with good customer service and it's getting crushed like a grape on this purchase...they are just under a $100...long term they can't sustain too many titles being undercut by this wide margin..

Unfortunately, Clint, it comes under that sometimes unfair moniker "Survival of the Fittest!" Not everyone can afford $100. Obviously, Walmart saw Amazon's price and undercut it by $10 and offered free s/h, as well.

It's indeed a dog eat dog world!

I pre~ordered BOTH Imagine and Big Pink today and like many QQers, mainly for the 5.1 remixes. Compare that $150+ combined price with similar DV QUAD 2 fer titles [@$16US]. What's REALLY Fair?

I've owned Imagine on multiple formats [including the Stereo BD~A] and I have the MLP DVD~A 5.1 of Big Pink so now I'm shelling out an ADDITIONAL $150 for both [once again]! Kind of gets ridiculous after awhile!

Well I found an old fashioned Independent Record Shop (with an on-line presence) in Cheltenham, www.badlands.co.uk which was selling it at £81.99 with free P&P, so I went for it...… and I know where they are! Hopefully they'll turn out to be a good shop , like Burning Shed, I can support it.
They were one of the first places I bought sacd from when I started buying on ebay. I was happy.

If its relatively close to you... maybe you can develop a rapport and perhaps you can get some of those titles from them and not be forced to deal with the obstacles of international shipping..

Ralphie...I wish you wouldn't have mentioned those words about dog eat dog...it conjures up images of you in Costco wolfing down those hot dogs...I'm curious...do you load up on the toppings?...Everytime I'm in my local Costco I hate to go by that section of the store because I see those people eating those hot dogs with every imaginable topping known to man.... stacked up so high they can barely fit it in their mouth:eek:

I haven't had a Costco 'Dog' in months and ironically, they don't have 'unlimited' chopped onions at our Costco but rather give you small plastic lidded cups of onions as sloppy customers were scattering them all over the 'condiment' counters.

Rather I purchase hot chili from a local deli and cook my own 'dogs' and melt cheese on the buns and apply that delicious chili for a thrilling snack.

And who you calling a dog, C E ? [dog eat dog]

Wow...they really stopped giving unlimited onions...I wish they would do that at my Costco...watching them cram all those onions down their throats is sad...I have to pass the food court on the way out of Costco....at least you don't put Ketchup on your hot dogs...when I was a kid my mom would make "dagwood" hot dogs...it was a hot dog "baked" in the oven with bacon wrapped around it and the hot dog was split down the middle and cheese inserted inside...

I slice the dogs down the middle and cook them in the toaster oven, sauté the chili in a frying pan and then place the buns with sharp cheddar alongside the dogs in the toaster oven. NO ketchup ... or mustard. That chili is super hot!

Mm Mmmm GOOD!
