Aaron Jones to reportedly sign with Vikings on a 1-year, $7 million deal
Ricky, I was hoping you were kidding but it looks to be true. It's too bad there wasn't some way Jones could have stayed in GB.
I understand he was to get $12M this year @ GB . I wonder how much they offered him instead?
I watched this YouTube, Pack-A-Day podcast, with Andy Herman yesterday. He's a reporter who covers GB & is pretty good. .
He made the case that GB probably wanted to keep both Jones & Jacobs. But, & its a big butt, after Jacobs signing to relatively big money & sort of indicating he was going to be the 'man'....Jones must have had enough!
He had already taken pay cuts in previous years & arguably had just come off his best performance in the last 4 games at the end of last year.
Jones was loved by GB fans! He was the best guy on offense they had! Packers could fall flat on their face here with this one. When healthy, I thought he was a great RB!
GB will get to face Jones 2 times this coming season now that he's with Minnesota so we'll see what might have been... There were rumors he may have been going to Dallas... Glad that didn't happen!
The $7M he got..I wonder if it was more or less than GB offered him?
Over all, it's a sad day to see Jones leave! We'll see what happens
