Actually the Bills are an interesting case. The city name is also the name of an animal which graces their helmets. They could be included as an animal team. Weird, wild, stuff. :D
The origin of Buffalo Bills name has always been a subject for debate. But it was chosen by the fans of the era and is a tribute to the famous cowboy.

The name Buffalo actually comes from some French/Indian translation for "Beautiful River". It has nothing to do with Bison, but an association between the two is widely assumed.

The current Buffalo AAA baseball team are called the Bisons. Which was also the name of the semi pro team that eventually became the AFL Buffalo Bills.

There is a type of walking stick that used to be called a bill, and I've heard there a snake that goes by that name.

I always feel guilty, does Wikipedia really need donations to stay in business?
I certainly like using Wikipedia.
I would think there are expenses just like this site. Remember it IS ad free. I give them a few bucks now and then.
I'm curious as to why Wikipedia always pops up as the first reference when I search for something...after the gazillion ads, anyway.

Yes, that seems to be the case. I use duckduckgo as my go-to search engine & just did a search ' Green Bay Packers'. (Wikipedia was 1st after the ads). I don't know about other search engines....
Wikipedia may pay or compensate them to get that positioning...
I am rather skeptical of much of the 'info' listed on Wikipedia & just who is providing it!

But not with New Orleans 20-10 which is way more important to us Niners.
I better shut up, i'm gonna jinx the whole thing.

Glad you enjoyed the NOLA win. But whew! That was the kind of point spread I thought I'd see with the Chiefs over Bronco's. Again just a 3 pt lead. However:

And it's the 2nd time he's done this. I'll say I'm certainly glad we didn't lose Kelce along with Hill. Now I just gotta sweat through Monday football.

Geno Smith is the Seahawks starting QB and going to the phantom Pro Bowl. He used to be the Jets starting QB and great hope, but they gave up on him. I guess they couldn’t wait ten years. o_O
